Wedding Collage

This card was one that I created for the SCS CAS (Clean and Simple) challenge this week - the theme was LOVE.  The collage image is from Sweet 'N Sassy stamps and I stamped it with Versafine Onyx Black.  I matted it with Sweet Blush from PaperTrey and then framed it with a Spellbinders nesting frame in Autumn Rose card stock from PaperTrey.  The card front is embossed with the Cuttlebug Textile folder and I embellished the frame with little pearls.

Let Your Dreams Soar

I was stalking the SCS sketch challenge thread but didn't see any post.  I searched the gallery for the keyword SC387 and found three cards posted so I took a chance and followed their samples.  This is my take on the sketch.  I also used the colors from CR84FN55:

I used the Cheery Lynn Fancy Flourish die and two Memory Box dies to make the butterfly.  The sentiment is from Layers of Color Butterfly Wishes set.

Another Love Lives Here Card

This is for the SCS color challenge - Blushing Bride, Certainly Celery and Soft Suede.  I used the memory Box Modern Landscape die, using one end of it with brown cardstock and the other end on green cardstock.  Sentiment is from PaperTrey's Love Lives Here set.

CAS LOVE

The CAS (Clean and Simple) challenge over at SCS today is a theme challenge.  The theme is LOVE.  I love these dies from Wplus9!  I used the negative of the leaf dies and attached the white layer over the Spring Moss layer with foam tape.  The birds are cut from Sweet Blush and Autumn Rose cardstock and popped up with foam squares.  The sentiment is from PaperTrey's first stamp set - PaperTrey and is stamped with Autumn Rose ink.

To Paris With Love

This is for the SCS Featured Stamper challenge and for the Crazy For Challenges 138 - to make a one layer card.  I used Post-It notes to mask off the border and sponged Sage Shadow, Almost Amethyst and Eggplant Envy onto the card front.  Then I stamped this Sweet 'N Sassy stamp from the To Paris With Love set in Versafine Onyx Black.  I sponged some Almost Amethyst onto a scrap piece of white card stock and punched out the butterfly with my MS Butterfly punch.  I added some rhinestones and attached it with a glue dot to just the body.

Love Lives Here

I created this card for the SCS Queen for the Day challenge - QFTD114 - which was to case a card from TreasureOiler's gallery (Dawn Easton).  I cased Dawn's You Are My Sunshine card.  I used two Memory Box dies - the Orchard Tree Frame (I cut the tree out of the frame) and the Modern Landscape Border.  I used a blending tool to sponge on Distress Inks.  The sentiment is from PaperTrey Love Lives Here set.

PaperTrey May Blog Hop

This is for the May PTI Blog Hop.  My card was inspired by the different shades of green and the squares in the photo below.  Also, I like how the right side of the photo is cut off, so I used that feature as part of the design.   I saw this design on Pinterest so I cannot take credit for it.
I used an image from Take Three: Spring and the Take Three Die to create my squares.  I used my Corner Chomper to round the opposite corners.  The sentiment is from Birthday Basics.

Wishing You a Lovely Day

Wow I haven't stamped for a week - things have been crazy busy around here.  I finally opened up my tiny armoire/stamping closet and pulled out some ink and stamps and created this card for the SCS color combination challenge - CC376.  The colors we were to use were the 2010 In Colors that are retiring - or you could pick just three of the colors.  I decided to try to use all of them (or substitutes) on my card and still try to keep it clean and simple.  I used PaperTrey's Daydreamer stamp set for the flowers and grass and PaperTrey's Signature Series: Butterfly stamp set for he sentiment.  The butterfly and dragonfly are from Sweet 'N Sassy's Serene Silhouettes set.

Happy Fathers Day

This is for the SCS color challenge - CC375: Night of Navy, Bashful Blue and Pumpkin Pie. I cased another card from Heather T's gallery - Sponged Scene.  I used Post-It Notes to mask the top and bottom of the card front and used Broken China and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks to sponge inside the mask.  After removing the Post-It Notes I stamped the Rubber Stampede tree image with PaperTrey Enchanted Evening ink.  The sentiment is also from PaperTrey.

Hello

This was created for two SCS challenges: the CAS170 which is the 3 panel technique and the TLC377 - Dry Debossing.  The dry debossing technique is where you use an embossing folder and emboss the card stock.  Then you brayer ink over the debossed side.  Here I used a Sizzix embossing folder and I brayered Old Olive and Adirondack Sunrise Yellow on the debossed side of the cardstock.  I then cut it into 3 panels and adhered it to the cardfront.  The sentiment is from Mark's Finest Papers.

More Fun Casing Heather T.

I am still having fun casing Heather T's cards from her SCS gallery!  Here are two more that I did this week using the SCS color challenge:

The first one is using masking and sponging techniques and the second uses an inchie stamp on inchie squares (by Inchie Arts).

Imagine

This is the card I created for the SCS sketch challenge - SC384 - using the colors from this week's Color Throw Down - CTD191:
I sponged on a little of each of these colors then stamped the silhouette image with Versafine Onyx Black.  The corners were cut with a Cuttlebug Decorative Corner die and then the image panel was matted on black card stock.  The white panels were embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder.  I added turquoise rhinestones to the corners for a little bit of bling.

A Gift For You

This week's Technique Lovers Challenge at SCS is paper piecing - one of my favorite techniques.  This image was a bit challenging - the dress and the paper dolls were paper pieced.  The patterned paper is My Minds Eye - Indie Collection.  The sketch is the latest I Spy Sketch challenge but I reversed the sketch unintentionally.

Fun With Masking and Sponging

The Featured Stamper on SCS this week is Heather Telford.  I follow Heather's blog Bits and Pieces and just love her one layer cards that are just masterpieces.  The following cards are ones that I created for the FS challenge.

The first two cards are cases of Heather's cards.  The last card is a case of my own card but using colors that Heather used on one of her cards - Eggplant Envy, Sage Shadow and Almost Amethyst.  I love this combination of colors but would never have thought to put them together!

Freshly Made Dynamic Duos

I created this card for two challenges:  Freshly Made Sketches #33:
And for a new challenge, Dynamic Duos #1 (Pool Party and Lucky Limeade):
I thought the Linen Closet papers from DCWV were perfect for the colors.  I substituted Aqua Mist and Spring Moss to stamp the Pretty Posies with.  I added Frosted Lace Stickles to the stamped flower to match the glittered paper.  The image was cut with a Blossom Nestability and I distressed the edges with the Aqua Mist.  I added three aqua pearls for embellishment.

Poppy Swag

The Inspiration Challenge on SCS today is The Vintage Trading Company.  I was inspired by the Poppy Swag.  I masked off the sides of the card front with Post - It Notes and stamped the Hero Arts Delicate Blossom image in Memento Desert Sand.  This is my first attempt with the Borderless Coloring Technique.  The poppies are colored with Prismacolor pencils.

Treasured

This is for the SCS sketch challenge this week using the color challenge colors.  I paper pieced the butterfly and flower image from SNSS set Treasured.  I masked the image first and stamped with SNSS Friendship Script Background.  I used the Cuttlebug Script embossing folder for the horizontal panel. The flower was created with Memory Box dies and a rhinestone.

Thanks

This was created for the SCS color challenge this week - the colors were Pumpkin Pie, Wild Wasabi and Pool Party.  I had to substitute the colors.  The blue polka dotted strip is Washi Tape that I just purchased a couple of weeks ago - I have been wanting to try it.  It is easy and fun to use.  I used the Memory Box Poppy die for the flower and the sentiment is from Amuse.
