<br />
Welcome back - it's time for the <a href="https://stamplorations.blogspot.com/2020/06/june-challenges-extras.htm" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">STAMPlorations June Stencil Challenge</span></a> Mid Month Reminder. There is still plenty of time to play with us.<br />
<br />
Here is my sample:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XIEWXfWdacQ/XsSQU76mU3I/AAAAAAAAKQg/Jwf2-YtczY0u5FPIcfJxB4rV7F0mDLWLgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/IMG_0605.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="504" data-original-width="640" height="315" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XIEWXfWdacQ/XsSQU76mU3I/AAAAAAAAKQg/Jwf2-YtczY0u5FPIcfJxB4rV7F0mDLWLgCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/IMG_0605.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I used the <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Peony-Number-Two-ARTplorations-Stencil-P5645520.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">ARTplorations Peony Number Two stencil</span></a> and placed it on a panel of white card stock. I blended several shades of pink dye ink to create some shadows. After removing the stencil I used some dark pink colored pencils to accentuate the shadows. I used STAMPlorations' <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Crazy-Double-Running-Stitch-Rectangle-Nesting-Dies-CUTplorations-P5623511.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">CUTplorations Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies</span></a> to cut out the panel and matted that panel with black card stock and then adhered that to the card base.<br />
<br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, tahoma, helvetica, freesans, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px;">Here are the rules to play in the stencil challenge:</span><span style="background-color: white; color: red; font-family: arial, tahoma, helvetica, freesans, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px;"></span><br />

<li style="margin: 0px 0px 0.25em; padding: 0px; text-align: left;">You must use a stencil or stencils (any brand) in your project(s) - if it isn't obvious that you used a stencil in your project, your entry may be deleted or will not be eligible to win.</li>
<li style="margin: 0px 0px 0.25em; padding: 0px; text-align: left;">Non-STAMPlorations products in entries are OK.</li>
<li style="margin: 0px 0px 0.25em; padding: 0px; text-align: left;">You can enter as many projects as you wish as long as they are in separate blog posts and that they are new and not created prior to the start of the current month's challenge.</li>

<br />
Wow it is already June! I hope you are all well and staying safe these days. One good thing for me that came from this sheltering in place is that I have been spending a lot of my time making cards!<br />
<br />
So, a new month, and a new <a href="https://stamplorations.blogspot.com/2020/06/june-stencil-challenge.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge</span></a>! I made these cards as part of "homework" for the Online Card Classes - Summer Card Camp. I love the vintage look these colors give this card. I used Distress Inks and the Picket Fence Life Changing Blending Brushes to apply the ink to the <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/A-Bloom-and-Three-Buds-ARTplorations-Stencil-P5645528.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">ARTplorations A Bloom and Three Buds</span></a> stencil.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
This is your last reminder to join in the STAMPlorations Spring Fling and Linky Party - comment and submit a project to win prizes.<br />
<br />
Here are my cards:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wS4W455Qk_c/Xq5bmpd3b8I/AAAAAAAAKPE/WiqYayzL_EQOl4grCtTgB8eTX0RHu4VagCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/IMG_0554.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="408" data-original-width="640" height="255" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wS4W455Qk_c/Xq5bmpd3b8I/AAAAAAAAKPE/WiqYayzL_EQOl4grCtTgB8eTX0RHu4VagCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/IMG_0554.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I made two cards at the same time. The card on the left is the Bloomdalascopic #1 stencil inked with distress inks. After removing the stencil I spritzed the inked side with water and turned it over onto another panel of card stock which makes a mono print.<br />
<br />

<br />
Have you played with the <a href="https://stamplorations.blogspot.com/2020/05/spring-fling-encore-1.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Spring Fling blog hop and linky party</span></a> yet? This is a reminder that there is still time to comment and to play.<br />
<br />
Here are<br />
my reminder cards:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gAqViuYgEPQ/XqyAvK3KSTI/AAAAAAAAKOg/MsirbGTOxvgBGKK__BKI40XblIfmROR9gCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/IMG_0441.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="426" data-original-width="640" height="266" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gAqViuYgEPQ/XqyAvK3KSTI/AAAAAAAAKOg/MsirbGTOxvgBGKK__BKI40XblIfmROR9gCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/IMG_0441.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
This is a "twofer"card technique called mono printing. I first used the <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Up-and-Down-ARTplorations-Stencil-P5972000.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Up and Down stencil</span></a> and blended a few color inks over a piece of card stock. Then instead of cleaning off the stencil I spritzed the stencil with water, turned the stencil over and laid it down on top of another piece of card stock to create the mono print.<br />
<br />

There is still plenty of time to play in the <a href="https://stamplorations.blogspot.com/2020/05/may-challenges-extras.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">STAMPlorations May Stencil Challenge</span></a>.<br />
<br />
I tried a new to me technique - stamping over a stencil after blending ink over the stencil:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
I taped the <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Doodled-Tulips-ARTplorations-Stencil-P5972033.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Doodled Tulip Stencil</span></a> with temporary painters tape to a piece of cardstock. I blended pink ink over the entire panel. I transferred the panel with the stencil still attached to my MISTI and stamped over the panel with a polka dot background stamp with red ink. After removing the stencil I matted the panel with black card stock and then adhered that to the card base.<br />
<br />
I added the sentiment which is from STAMPlorations Clear Sticker set <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Hello-Spring-Clear-Stickers-P5971993.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Hello Spring</span></a>.<br />

Welcome to <a href="https://stamplorations.blogspot.com/2020/05/spring-fling.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">STAMPlorations Spring Fling Blog Hop and Linky Party</span></a>! We are featuring the new 6x6 stencils and clear sentiment stickers.<br />
<br />
Here is my card using Bloomdala Bliss #11:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ClJ_LFod36E/Xqx-PKzMF6I/AAAAAAAAKOI/XvSw03nMSWU_q8_1_ehoxrIKg8UcvO5wQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/IMG_0442.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="501" data-original-width="640" height="312" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ClJ_LFod36E/Xqx-PKzMF6I/AAAAAAAAKOI/XvSw03nMSWU_q8_1_ehoxrIKg8UcvO5wQCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/IMG_0442.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I used the stencil in the traditional way by blending distress inks over the stencil. After lifting off the stencil I softly blended over the white stencil marks left with the same ink I used on the stencil originally.<br />

My card - Life in Bloom:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xBFrThyvxoU/XppELPx7LnI/AAAAAAAAKMU/fSGAlFFFiWgrahydgu0vTOsPRM9AyoE9ACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/IMG_0433.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="495" data-original-width="640" height="308" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xBFrThyvxoU/XppELPx7LnI/AAAAAAAAKMU/fSGAlFFFiWgrahydgu0vTOsPRM9AyoE9ACLcBGAsYHQ/s400/IMG_0433.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I created the watercolored background on Canson XL watercolor paper and Altenew metallic watercolors. These watercolors are creamy and smooth and have a fabulous shimmer - unfortunately I couldn't capture the shimmer. I then used some temporary tape to adhere the <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Bloom-Silhouettes-ARTplorations-Stencil-P5321888.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Bloom Silhouettes </span></a>stencil to the watercolored panel and blended black ink over the stencil. I trimmed down the panel and cut it in half, adhered each panel to foam and then adhered them to a black card base.<br />
The sentiment is from <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Default.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">STAMPlorations</span></a> Clear Sticker <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Hello-Spring-Clear-Stickers-P5971993.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Hello Spring</span></a> set.<br />

<br />
Welcome back to my <a href="permalink: https://stamplorations.blogspot.com/2020/04/april-challenges-extras.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">STAMPlorations April Stencil Challenge</span></a>. Here is my card using a stencil to dry emboss my card stock (my technique for this month).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yrpSY0MVmH8/Xn919oYQ14I/AAAAAAAAKK4/DjquTm4IJrUf55krE3XCIi9FFah9HagWQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/IMG_0329.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="616" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yrpSY0MVmH8/Xn919oYQ14I/AAAAAAAAKK4/DjquTm4IJrUf55krE3XCIi9FFah9HagWQCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/IMG_0329.jpg" width="311" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I used the <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Dragonfly-Waltz-ARTplorations-Stencil-P5656266.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Dragonfly Waltz stencil</span></a> in two ways. I first blended ink over it onto white card stock. I cleaned off the stencil and then ran it through my Big Shot to emboss it on the card front panel. The "sandwich" I used to do this: cutting platform tab 1, cutting plate, rubber mat, card stock, stencil, cutting plate.<br />
<br />
I cut out a circle from the embossed panel and adhered the panel to the inked background and then onto a card base. I added the die cut <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Celebrate-Big-Phrase-Die-CUTplorations-P5844402.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Celebrate Big</span></a> onto the card and added some blue sparkly gems to some of the inked dragonflies.<br />
<br />
I hope you join us this month and post your creations <a href="https://stamplorations.blogspot.com/2020/04/april-challenges-extras.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">here</span></a>.<br />

<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-K_h41WRBmMU/XpKPN3c6XJI/AAAAAAAAKLQ/sDleTRCEPCUekXTCvv17yg8hv2YcsuHnACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/SPRSCC2020-participant.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="255" data-original-width="200" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-K_h41WRBmMU/XpKPN3c6XJI/AAAAAAAAKLQ/sDleTRCEPCUekXTCvv17yg8hv2YcsuHnACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/SPRSCC2020-participant.png" /></a></div>
<br />
I am taking the Online Card Class - Spring Card Camp and this is Day 1. Today's lesson was making a faux embossing folder with a stamp image. I chose to use the Hero Arts/GinaK <a href="https://heroarts.com/products/pr101-ha-gina-k-friendship-blooms?_pos=1&_sid=a5135d072&_ss=r" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Friendship Blooms</span></a> stamp set.<br />
<br />
This is how the embossing image turned out:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-35yzalHrfPg/XpKQcwDHicI/AAAAAAAAKLc/wt2CBA56qWwSHV5uEsTBbP8go3RqUrooACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/IMG_0362.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="598" data-original-width="480" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-35yzalHrfPg/XpKQcwDHicI/AAAAAAAAKLc/wt2CBA56qWwSHV5uEsTBbP8go3RqUrooACLcBGAsYHQ/s320/IMG_0362.jpg" width="256" /></a></div>
<br />
I embossed the image with White embossing powder 10 times. I then ran it through my Big Shot with the sandwich for embossing with dies. I made 2 cards from the embossed / de-bossed images:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8WQhzxNbAck/XpKQ9zs34YI/AAAAAAAAKLk/lAmFdIu3WUIxLYmIwfPdKB-nA0gRYovewCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/IMG_0360.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="603" data-original-width="480" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8WQhzxNbAck/XpKQ9zs34YI/AAAAAAAAKLk/lAmFdIu3WUIxLYmIwfPdKB-nA0gRYovewCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/IMG_0360.jpg" width="254" /></a></div>
<br />
I also stamped the image with black ink onto white cardstock so I could do the spotlight technique on the green card base. I used the embossed side up and blended ink over the image before I adhered the spotlight panel.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-leNFXzKwQIA/XpKRAow54JI/AAAAAAAAKLo/Y5jd5zQ3SP0Ri2CWCJKiAu6o-BcZ3xObgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/IMG_0355.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="497" data-original-width="640" height="248" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-leNFXzKwQIA/XpKRAow54JI/AAAAAAAAKLo/Y5jd5zQ3SP0Ri2CWCJKiAu6o-BcZ3xObgCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/IMG_0355.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
For this card I blended two colors of ink over the de-bossed side and added an image from STAMPlorations that I stamped and fussy cut out. I added a sentiment strip from Taylored Expressions.<br />

<br />
Happy Spring! I hope you are all staying safe sheltering in place.<br />
This month for the <a href="https://stamplorations.blogspot.com/2020/04/april-stencil-challenge.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">STAMPlorations Stencil challenge</span></a> I decided to use stencils to dry emboss my cardstock.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-x6NxgFjh_gg/Xn9xQlfEjMI/AAAAAAAAKKU/jXhqiAKlwpALFI8XlO6TJQXqSmmrWR_OQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/IMG_0327.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="601" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-x6NxgFjh_gg/Xn9xQlfEjMI/AAAAAAAAKKU/jXhqiAKlwpALFI8XlO6TJQXqSmmrWR_OQCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/IMG_0327.jpg" width="318" /></a></div>
<br />
I used the <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Shower-of-Flutters-ARTplorations-Stencil-P5247991.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Shower of Flutters</span></a> stencil to "emboss" the front panel of my card. The "sandwich" I used with my Big Shot is: platform Tab 1, cutting plate, rubber mat, cardstock, stencil, cover plate. Then run it through the cutting machine.<br />
<br />
I love the subtle texture this creates. I mounted the panel on black card stock and added a few sentiments of encouragement from STAMPlorations <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/OUT-OF-STOCK-Trendy-Butterflies-2-Shery-Russ-Designs-P5676781.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Trendy Butterflies 2</span></a> stamp set. I then mounted that onto the card base.<br />
<br />
I hope you will visit the <a href="https://stamplorations.blogspot.com/2020/04/april-stencil-challenge.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">STAMPlorations blog</span></a> to see what the other designers created for this month's challenge and then show us your design.<br />

<br />
Well the STAMPlorations challenges are back after taking a month off. As always, <a href="https://stamplorations.blogspot.com/2020/03/march-stencil-challenge.html" target="_blank">t<span style="color: red;">he stencil challenge is anything goes.</span></a><br />
<br />
I used the <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Faces-Grace-ARTplorations-Stencil-P5925436.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">FACES: Grace stencil</span> </a>which was really fun to use! After tracing the lines with a black marker and using a red Zig Clean Color brush marker for the lips I decorated the hat with a felt flower and a pearl. I used the sentiment from <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/OUT-OF-STOCK-Pocket-Blooms-with-CUTplorations-Pocket-Die-Shery-Russ-Designs-P5674966.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">STAMPlorations Pocket Blooms</span> </a>set.<br />

<br />
Just a reminder that there is still plenty of time to play along with us at the <span style="color: red;"><a href="https://stamplorations.blogspot.com/2020/01/january-challenges-extras.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge</span></a>.</span><br />

<span style="color: red;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EhPnYP2re7U/XgPA2NPJAmI/AAAAAAAAKHI/-SJxYPDCN3oiuK7mA-xbAXilVw1cRO3UwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/IMG_0301.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="596" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EhPnYP2re7U/XgPA2NPJAmI/AAAAAAAAKHI/-SJxYPDCN3oiuK7mA-xbAXilVw1cRO3UwCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/IMG_0301.jpg" width="321" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I used the ARTplorations <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Bloom-Boldly-ARTplorations-Stencil-P5645557.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Rose Garden</span></a> stencil and blended Distress Oxide Inks over a large piece of card stock. I then used a "wonky" die to cut out a portion of the card stock and layered it with pink card stock. I actually made two cards from the one stenciled panel.<br />
<br />
<br />
Here are the rules to play in the stencil challenge:<span style="color: red;"></span><br />

<br />
Happy New Year!!<br />
<br />
I am back with the January <a href="https://stamplorations.blogspot.com/2020/01/january-stencil-challenge.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge</span></a>!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-C9nT3bSoBXY/XgzgFCj5fbI/AAAAAAAAKH8/mYwZQHS3r9UolWbnPg6qqb9_P5pKGxX-QCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/IMG_0273.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="492" data-original-width="640" height="307" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-C9nT3bSoBXY/XgzgFCj5fbI/AAAAAAAAKH8/mYwZQHS3r9UolWbnPg6qqb9_P5pKGxX-QCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/IMG_0273.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I first made a mask using the <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Perched-Bird-CUTplorations-P5934583.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Perched Bird</span></a> die. I placed the mask over the <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Bloom-Boldly-ARTplorations-Stencil-P5645557.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Bloom Boldly</span></a> stencil and blended Distress Oxide inks over the entire stencil. Fast and easy!<br />
<br />

Just a reminder that the <a href="https://stamplorations.blogspot.com/2019/12/december-challenges-extras.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">STAMPlorations December Stencil Challenge</span></a> is still open. Here is my sample:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eTU9XNDAA2Q/XdQ-Qy4_bqI/AAAAAAAAKF4/wEDKvbz5YmgcmQBFT-5DnbKAROMmHVfWwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/STAMP1215Post.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="545" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eTU9XNDAA2Q/XdQ-Qy4_bqI/AAAAAAAAKF4/wEDKvbz5YmgcmQBFT-5DnbKAROMmHVfWwCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/STAMP1215Post.jpg" width="351" /></a></div>
<br />
I thought this stencil inked in these colors looked like poinsettias appropriate for this holiday season. I used the <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Happy-Flowers-ARTplorations-Stencil-P5216729.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Happy Flowers</span></a> stencil.<br />

A new month, another <a href="https://stamplorations.blogspot.com/2019/12/december-stencil-challenge.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge</span></a>!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-smFl1l60LL0/XdQhYHkDRqI/AAAAAAAAKFk/jerqBjbw_2E0A2RFQSN1dt5VCH1bEkNYgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/STAMP1201Post.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="582" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-smFl1l60LL0/XdQhYHkDRqI/AAAAAAAAKFk/jerqBjbw_2E0A2RFQSN1dt5VCH1bEkNYgCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/STAMP1201Post.jpg" width="328" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I used one of my favorite stencils <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Leaf-Prints-ARTplorations-Stencil-P5143962.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Leaf Prints</span></a> in a straightforward way - blending ink over it. I first masked off areas of the card with painters tape to be able to create the narrow panel, then blended Distress inks over the stencil. After removing the tape I stamped the sentiment from <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/OUT-OF-STOCK-VIGNETTE-Trendy-Feathers-P4932214.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Vignette: Trendy Feathers</span></a>. The butterfly is a 3-D sticker from Little B's.<br />
<br />
Now it is your turn to play. Create any kind of project using a stencil and then link it up to the <a href="https://stamplorations.blogspot.com/2019/12/december-stencil-challenge.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">challenge gallery</span></a>. I am looking forward to seeing your creations!<br />

<br />
<br />
Just a reminder for the November STAMPlorations Stencil challenge:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-D-spxDB8KbU/XavPa9haG7I/AAAAAAAAKFE/fSYZRts6ftkaABPPh2QDkeLxNgzhfNRcwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/P1090882.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="604" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-D-spxDB8KbU/XavPa9haG7I/AAAAAAAAKFE/fSYZRts6ftkaABPPh2QDkeLxNgzhfNRcwCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/P1090882.jpg" width="317" /></a></div>
<br />
Foiled Again - this month I played with the foiled stencil technique and here is my second attempt with it. I used the <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Bubble-Dance-ARTplorations-Stencil-P5590372.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Bubble Dance</span></a> stencil, applied the Thermo Web Transfer Gel over the stencil, then let it dry. Once dried (it has a shiny gloss to it) I placed a red foil transfer sheet with the shiny side up on top, placed it inside a folded piece of computer paper and ran it through my laminator. I cut the panel with a stitched rectangle and embellished the card with the <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Christmas-Reindeer-Coordinating-Dies-CUTplorations-P5644338.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Christmas Reindeer</span></a> die cuts and the <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Jingle-Bells-Phrase-Die-CUTplorations-P5643688.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Jingle Bells Phrase Die</span> </a>cut from gold metallic card stock.<br />

<br />
Wow it's November already and time for a new STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge. This month I tried a new to me technique - foiling with stencils. I really like this technique and it worked pretty easily. I need to improve on the spreading of the Transfer Gel over the stencil though.<br />
<br />
Here is my first attempt and card using the ARTplorations stencil <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Holly-Background-ARTplorations-Stencil-P5186912.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Holly Background</span></a>:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hDc7poCtitQ/Xau_nFzAkmI/AAAAAAAAKEI/yKSJtEKeFNQdoJPcK0Dc8R6JOTVNUjHTACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/P1090884.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="589" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hDc7poCtitQ/Xau_nFzAkmI/AAAAAAAAKEI/yKSJtEKeFNQdoJPcK0Dc8R6JOTVNUjHTACLcBGAsYHQ/s400/P1090884.jpg" width="325" /></a></div>
<br />
I taped the stencil on top of a 4.25" x 5.5" piece of Kraft card stock. Using an icing spatula I spread Thermo Web Transfer Gel over the stencil.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-oibLiXrLRDg/XavA19uno9I/AAAAAAAAKEY/H4p536l-TzUvSOzsfJ9gbr3kFp1lfoCqACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/P1090876.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="407" data-original-width="480" height="271" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-oibLiXrLRDg/XavA19uno9I/AAAAAAAAKEY/H4p536l-TzUvSOzsfJ9gbr3kFp1lfoCqACLcBGAsYHQ/s320/P1090876.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I removed the stencil and set aside the panel to dry - it gets glossy looking when it is dry and ready to be foiled. I used gold Deco Foil and laid it on top of the panel (with the shiny side up) and put it inside a folded piece of computer paper and ran it through my laminator. That part was easy peasy and fun!<br />
<br />
I used a stitched rectangle die to cut out the panel and adhered a vellum <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Luggage-Tags-Nesting-Dies-CUTplorations-P5623512.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Luggage Tag Nesting</span></a> tag with the CUTplorations phrase die <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Peace-Love-Joy-Phrase-Die-CUTplorations-P5643693.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Peace Love Joy</span></a> cut from red glitter paper.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Today we are celebrating <a href="http://stamplorations.blogspot.com/2019/10/sixth-birthday-day-five.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">STAMPlorations 6th birthday</span></a> with 2 new cover plates: Doodled Birthday Cake and Doodled Birthday Gifts.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I chose to use the cover plate Doodled Birthday Cake to make a shaker card:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-glfTpScKx9M/XZuB3QdKXCI/AAAAAAAAKDA/ZpF1xMs2xnglSRI_-UKwmuIpI0JWcjKcgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/P1090871.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="638" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-glfTpScKx9M/XZuB3QdKXCI/AAAAAAAAKDA/ZpF1xMs2xnglSRI_-UKwmuIpI0JWcjKcgCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/P1090871.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I cut the cover plate from 110 lb white card stock and adhered a piece of acetate to the back. I used a alcohol inked background that I had from my stash for the card front. Before attaching the cover plate die cut to the card front I sprinkled on a good helping of STAMPlorations <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Blue-Shimmer-ShakerBlends-P5942465.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Blue Shimmer Shaker Blend</span></a>. I lined the die cut frame with thin strips of foam tape and adhered it to the card front. I die cut black paper with the <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Celebrate-Big-Phrase-Die-CUTplorations-P5844402.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Celebrate Big Word Phrase</span></a> die and adhered that on top of the cover plate.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8vko613PlB0/XavNSmt0HUI/AAAAAAAAKEw/AH5UVxXYANQTCukH_bl-exRFPLJ0v2SNgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/P1090873.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="597" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8vko613PlB0/XavNSmt0HUI/AAAAAAAAKEw/AH5UVxXYANQTCukH_bl-exRFPLJ0v2SNgCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/P1090873.jpg" width="321" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My second card is much simpler. I cut the <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Zen-Doodled-Birthday-Cake-Cover-Plate-Die-CUTplorations-P5941561.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Doodled Birthday Cake</span></a> out of an alcohol inked background and glued it onto the card front. I then attached the <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Celebrate-Big-Phrase-Die-CUTplorations-P5844402.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Celebrate Big Phrase</span></a> die cut on top of the panel. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I hope you join in our celebration and win a prize (see image above for ways to win)! Thanks for coming by!</div>

<br />
I started with the stencil placed on the left page and blended distress inks over the stencil. After removing the stencil i misted it with water and turned it over (ink side down) onto the right page. I covered it with a paper towel and pressed down over the entire stencil before removing it.<br />

<br />
STAMPlorations has started up the monthly challenges after a summer vacation. I have moved from the CAS DT to the Stencil DT and will be showcasing STAMPlorations' ARTplorations line of stencils.<br />
<br />
The monthly challenges start on the 1st of each month and we will have a reminder post on the 15th of each month. There will be prizes for those that participate by entering a project using stencils on the challenge "linky": <span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129; font-family: , , , ".sfnstext-regular" , sans-serif; font-size: 14px; white-space: pre-wrap;">$15 gift certificate to the winner and $10 to the runner up.$5 gift certificates each to three randomly drawn players.</span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129; font-family: , , , ".sfnstext-regular" , sans-serif; font-size: 14px; white-space: pre-wrap;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: , , , , sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129; white-space: pre-wrap;">For my first project this month I created these two pages in my watercolor art journal usin</span><span style="background-color: white; white-space: pre-wrap;"><span style="color: #1d2129;">g </span><a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/A-Bloom-and-Three-Buds-ARTplorations-Stencil-P5645528.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">A Bloom and Three Buds</span></a><span style="color: #1d2129;"> stencil. The technique I used is reverse stenciling. I started by placing the stencil onto the page on the right and I sprinkled black brusho watercolor powder over the open spaces of the stencil. I then misted the stencil with water to activate the powder. Once I felt it had enough water I folded the left page over the right and pressed the pages together and rubbed over the entire page. That is the reverse stenciling technique. I love how the black Brusho powder when wet breaks down the black into these various colors!</span></span></span><br />

<br />
I am really excited to be a part of the STAMPlorations stencil design team. I enjoyed being on the CAS DT and am looking forward to this new role since I love to use the ARTplorations stencils. I am sharing my projects over on the <a href="https://stamplorations.blogspot.com/2019/09/stencil-sunday-with-harriet.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">STAMPlorations blog - Stencil Sunday</span></a> post today.<br />
<br />
So here is my first post for STENCIL SUNDAY!<br />
<br />
I used several different techniques to show how versatile stencils are. For my first two cards I used the ghosting technique:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EtxPXsnwZ8M/XYr_JGzwFxI/AAAAAAAAKAI/Tq1jf-Z41sA5V72nE95re3pLMkxuXNK5gCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/P1090864.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="597" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EtxPXsnwZ8M/XYr_JGzwFxI/AAAAAAAAKAI/Tq1jf-Z41sA5V72nE95re3pLMkxuXNK5gCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/P1090864.jpg" width="321" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
After blending the card stock panel with distress inks, I laid the <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Dots-All-Over-ARTplorations-Stencil-P5590430.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Dots All Over</span></a> stencil on top of the panel and misted the entire panel with water. I used a paper towel to soak up the excess water, then lifted off the stencil. The water wicks away the color to leave a "ghost" image. Once the panel was dry I stamped the <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/OUT-OF-STOCK-Better-than-Autumn-P5662724.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Better Than Autumn</span></a> image and sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PBfFA8S4JoM/XYr_JeyFRoI/AAAAAAAAKAM/_tIAZbXJnvINM3CR0_YhS5upAIaQH09tACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/P1090866.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="556" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PBfFA8S4JoM/XYr_JeyFRoI/AAAAAAAAKAM/_tIAZbXJnvINM3CR0_YhS5upAIaQH09tACLcBGAsYHQ/s400/P1090866.jpg" width="345" /></a></div>
<br />
I used the ghosting technique again to create the oval background for this next card. Before I adhered the oval to the card base I sponged the line of birds from the <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Some-Birds-ARTplorations-Stencil-P5301934.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Some Birds</span></a> stencil with Black Soot distress ink. I die cut the <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Perched-Bird-CUTplorations-P5934583.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Perched Bird</span></a> from black cardstock and adhered it to the oval panel.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8NrPl9poywc/XYr_Jc1KhwI/AAAAAAAAKAQ/bvyQtYmgb0Yvb79mF1t-RODewXdQ3UMEQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/P1090865.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="618" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8NrPl9poywc/XYr_Jc1KhwI/AAAAAAAAKAQ/bvyQtYmgb0Yvb79mF1t-RODewXdQ3UMEQCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/P1090865.jpg" width="310" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used one of my favorite ARTplorations stencils for my next card - <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Leaf-Prints-ARTplorations-Stencil-P5143962.aspx" target="_blank"> <span style="color: red;">Leaf Prints</span></a>:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/--3EBH8AgMuY/XYsEWG-quMI/AAAAAAAAKAk/r8flTw0zzZUt5vk29SezF5-cDAyxdbxTACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/P1090867.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="617" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/--3EBH8AgMuY/XYsEWG-quMI/AAAAAAAAKAk/r8flTw0zzZUt5vk29SezF5-cDAyxdbxTACLcBGAsYHQ/s400/P1090867.jpg" width="310" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I went through my stash of alcohol inked backgrounds and thought this color combination was perfect for a fall leaves theme. After taping the stencil in place with painters tape I used my alcohol ink blending tool with some Ranger Alcohol Lift ink and rubbed it all over the stencil. This ink really lifts the alcohol ink off of the panel. I love how this came out!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-r-JcpKZuo28/XYsFz5NZVhI/AAAAAAAAKAw/vNNt8duEuZkulCrLOBBH83VZ6M0WeLujQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/P1090868.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="550" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-r-JcpKZuo28/XYsFz5NZVhI/AAAAAAAAKAw/vNNt8duEuZkulCrLOBBH83VZ6M0WeLujQCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/P1090868.jpg" width="348" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For this last card I only used part of the <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Holly-Background-ARTplorations-Stencil-P5186912.aspx" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Holly Background</span></a> stencil for a very CAS design:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XsZxA1rDHcE/XYsGllzkwHI/AAAAAAAAKA4/eAalEHdvfCsD4-Uq68uMNlvhlVv2pPUhwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/P1090870.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="578" data-original-width="480" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XsZxA1rDHcE/XYsGllzkwHI/AAAAAAAAKA4/eAalEHdvfCsD4-Uq68uMNlvhlVv2pPUhwCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/P1090870.jpg" width="265" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I traced the leaves and berries with a Tuxedo Black Memento marker and colored them in with Copic markers. I used red Stickles on the berries and a clear Wink of Stella brush marker on the leaves.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The sentiment "Christmas Blessings" is from the Holiday Hexagons stamp set (retired).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks for coming by!</div>

<br />
Wow it's June already! This month's <a href="https://stamplorations.blogspot.com/2019/06/cas-challenge-june.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">CAS Card Challenge</span></a> optional color twist is MAHOGANY.<br />
<br />
Here is my card:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kgwcmrzvsmA/XPVKuYc6syI/AAAAAAAAJ_M/mgErfScC67woEPAR9vG8EfZj0lIt3e9UwCLcBGAs/s1600/P1090756.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="578" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kgwcmrzvsmA/XPVKuYc6syI/AAAAAAAAJ_M/mgErfScC67woEPAR9vG8EfZj0lIt3e9UwCLcBGAs/s400/P1090756.jpg" width="331" /></a></div>
<br />
I thought that this flower image from <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Search.aspx?k=hope+blooms" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Hope Blooms</span></a> looked like it had a tree in the background so I decided to use the Brick Red (looks like Mahogany when stamped) Distress marker to color the stamp. The sentiment is from STAMPlorations <a href="https://stamplorations.auctivacommerce.com/Search.aspx?k=pocket+blooms" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">Pocket Blooms</span></a>. I cut a frame from some patterned paper to place around the image and sentiment then adhered the panel to a Kraft card base.<br />
<br />
I hope you join our challenge. Here are the guidelines:<br />
<ul style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px; line-height: 1.4; margin: 0.5em 0px; padding: 0px 2.5em;">
