Sew Much Fun
The SCS CAS challenge for this week was to sew on your card - real or faux stitching. I chose to do real stitching but by hand. I stamped the balloon strings from PaperTrey's Everyday Button Bits, then cut it out with a rectangle Nestability. I used the Tim Holtz ruler to pierce holes around the embossed frame. Then I used the whip stitch and embroidery thread to stitch around the image. I sewed the smaller red buttons to the blue buttons and attached them with glue dots. The sentiment is from the same stamp set.
I made another one for the challenge but will leave that for another post since it is a swap card that hasn't been received yet!
Thanks for coming by!
Supplies: Stamps - PaperTrey; Ink - Versafine Onyx Black, Memento Rhubarb Stalk; Paper - PaperTrey Stampers Select; Misc - Embroidery needle, embroidery thread, buttons, Tim Holtz ruler, MM paper piercer, Glue Dots
