This week at Speedy the Cat's Friends challenge Geri has challenged us to use stitching or faux stitching on your card. Remember, we offer a random weekly winner a FREE Mark's Finest Papers stamp set as a prize! For every 50 entries, we pick ANOTHER random winner! [Yes, you may play more than once] If you use MFP stamps, you are entered twice!
Whenever I think of stitching or faux stitching on a card I think of quilt cards. So that is what I went with for this week's Speedy the Cat's Friends challenge. I stamped the poinsettia from the ornament image in the Seasonal Poinsettia set on Making Memories red paper and cut it out. I popped it up on a foam square and placed it over the quilt design I created with the Making Memories patterned papers. The sentiment is also from Seasonal Poinsettias. I pierced around the quilt and used a Spica Black glitter pen for the faux stitching. I was inspired by SCS user whitney56's Paper Quilt card.
Thanks for coming by!
