This week's Speedy the Cat's Friends challenge over at Mark's Finest Papers (MFP) is to paper piece. That is my favorite technique next to water coloring. For a chance to win a new not yet released stamp set from MFP just create a new card with paper piecing and link it directly to InLinkz on the MFP blog. If you use MFP stamps you get entered twice! There will be a prize for every 50 entries - good luck!!
I used an image from the new MFP released set Hello Sunshine! First I stamped the image on some Basic Grey designer paper in Versafine Onyx Black. I cut out the center circle part of the image with a Nestability. Then I stamped the image again on blue paper and a yellowish gold paper and cut out the sun and "water" and paper pieced them onto the originally stamped circle. I matted the circle with the lacy circle Nestability and the same blue paper that I paper pieced with. The sentiment is from the same set.
Thanks for coming by!
