This is a sneak peek of a new stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co called Dogwood Blossoms. I used the color challenge colors from SCS CC361 - Soft Suede, Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight (I had to sub the colors). I googled dogwood blossoms to see if they came in any other color other than pink and white. I learned that they are the state flower for No. Carolina and here is a picture of yellow dogwoods in Greensboro! I know that this is stamping, but I like to make realistic cards!! I stamped the card base with the largest image from the set, then stamped the medium sized image once and the smallest blossom 3 times. I colored them in with Copic Markers and cut them out. I cut an oval frame with my Nestabilities and attached it with foam tape over the Simple Stories patterned paper attached to the cardbase. I then attached the cut out blossoms with foam squares.
Thanks for coming by!

Harriet, Fabulous job I love that you have flowers both "inside and Outside" of the oval. Great idea. Enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteHarriet,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card - I love how you've used the blossoms - lovely and elegant - and pretty colors as well.
