Wishing You a Happy Birthday

This card was created for a few challenges.   The PaperTrey Make it Monday (MIM) challenge is to water color with die cut stencils.  I used the PTI Happy Birthday cover plate to cut out freezer paper to use as the mask.  In the video Lizzy shows how to use removable labels to make the mask.  I ironed on the freezer paper to the water color paper to create a seal so the water color wouldn't seep under the mask. I used the wet on wet water color technique to paint over the die cut using the colors from today's SCS color challenge.

I am also submitting this card to Seize the Birthday - Anything Goes:

Thanks for coming by!

  1. Very pretty colors that you chose! Probably because of the ironing that you got such a crisp image ... hmmm should have done it likewise :-)
