I made this card for Cammie's Card Drive for Caregivers of Alzheimer patients - see her blog post here. This is also for the Teapot Tuesday challenge which is also making cards to send to a care giver if you so choose. I used the colors from today's SCS CC290 - Basic Gray, Rose Red, Daffodil Delight and a dessert option of any other color we choose.
I brayered Adirondack yellow and SU's Rose Red inks and stamped the leaves and sentiment in PaperTrey's Smokey Shadow. I added prima flowers with brads. I will send this card to the care facility that Cammie's grandmother lived.
Wow - I love the brayered look! I need more practice with my brayer. I need a prayer to use my brayer!! ha ha
ReplyDeleteHow nice that you will send this to the care facility!!

What a beautiful card! I'm sure the one who gets this is going to really appreciate your gift.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful, Harriet! I never would have thought to use rose red with the yellow, and they are lovely together. I would have looked at that challenge and bailed immediately. You rocked it, though...especially with the burst of blue!!
ReplyDeleteBut then, my brayer rarely gets used...I should pull it out more!
Thanks so much for sharing this post for the Gratitude Collection!
Such a rich warm background. Lovely card
