Summer Camp Wk 3 Day 4

Today's challenge from class was to create something outside of our comfort zone.  I am a CAS stamper so this shabby chic distressed card is totally out of my normal zone! Also, I don't make cards that won't go through the mail so again, this is way out of my norm!  But I like it.  It is a case of a card that Debby Hughes created for our class.
I used the color combo for the week.  The patterned paper is from K & Co. and had all of the colors I needed!  The flower is by Prima and the twine was from my stash.  I hand cut a tag banner out of Kraft card stock and used the Simon Says Stamp "you" die.  The sentiment is from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps.  I also used my scissors to distress the edges of the tag and then applied tea dye distress ink to the edges of the card stock and top panel.
I am submitting this to the CAS on Sunday challenge - Kraft and Twine.
Thanks for coming by!

  6. What a stunning card! Card Camp was a lot of fun, and we were definitely encouraged to try new things. My card is done, but I haven't been able to post it yet. My computer is not cooperating:(. Hopefully I'll get it done later today.
