HYCCT - Pinterest Inspiration and Punch It Out

This card was inspired by a Pinterest photo of a yummy ombre cake.  It was also inspired by the MUSE challenge - I was inspired by the slanted panel.  I first stamped the Unity flowers with Versamark ink and embossed it with white embossing powder.  Then I sponged various hues of pink for the ombre effect.  Lastly I used a dark pink ink on the script background stamp and stamped over the whole panel.  I then wiped off any ink from the white flowers.

This card was made for the HYCCT challenge to use punches or dies.  I combined this challenge with the SCS F4A189 which was to use texture on your card and fall colors. This layout is from this week's CAS(E) This Sketch. I used felt in fall colors and die cut it with a leaf die from Sweet 'N Sassy stamps.

  1. Love the pink card for breast cancer month. The white flowers really pop. And the felt leaves are amazing. Both so different and both so pretty. You have been a busy girl!

  2. Your card looks just as yummy as the cake did, I bet! It is a beautiful technique!
Using felt for the leaves gives them an interesting dimension...both well done!

  3. The pink card for breast cancer month is so pretty and the falling leaves is so appropriate for right now where we live. :)

  4. Beautiful cards Harriet...but your first card with all the pink is simply stunning with those fabulous white flowers, just gorgeous!

  5. These are both lovely, Harriet ... the pink ombre one is particularly stunning ... the blooms are just dreamy and I love the delicate ribbon ... the dots mimic the flower heads! Anita :)
