Thanks!

I combined two challenges to create this card:

Colour Q Challenge #354:

Happy Little Stampers August Anything Goes with Dies:

When I saw the sketch I thought of my new to me border die from Penny Black so this came together easily. I love the color combination of this week's ColourQ Challenge. I used the Thanks die from Winnie & Walter for the sentiment.

Celebrate

This card is for the following challenges:

CASology - Circles
CAS(E) This Sketch
Less Is More - Something shiny

I used a metallic red card stock to cut the circles and sentiment from after I adhered some Stick It to the back of the card stock.  The circles die is from Simon Says Stamp and the sentiment die is from Winnie & Walter.

L' Shanah Tovah!

Another Jewish New Year card and again using apples.  I used some NBUS Washi Tape and the sentiment is from an NBUS PaperTrey stamp set.  I am submitting this to the following challenges:

Joy

I haven't had time to create for about a week now but it seems like forever!  I made this card for a couple of challenges.  The SCS Technique Lovers Challenge was to use only one word and embellishments.  I used the Freshly Made Sketch from this week (and took a little liberty with it):

and the CAS(E) This Sketch turned upside down:

I used a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder and a PaperTrey Phrase Play Die (Joy) to cut the gold glitter paper.

I am also submitting this to the Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge:

Thanks

I created this card for a few challenges:

The Card Concept:  I guess I'd call this style Mixed Media or Clean and Layered.

CAS(E) This Sketch:

Just Us Girls:  Stacked die cuts

I heat embossed the Stampendous butterfly with Hero Arts White embossing powder onto white card stock.  I then blended various distress inks over the butterflies for an emboss resist.  The sentiment is a die cut from Winnie & Walter.  I cut a few and stacked them for the dimension.

Tulips

I created this card for a few challenges:  the SCS CAS challenge is to use ribbons, the SCS color challenge is the following color combination: Lost Lagoon, Daffodil Delight, Strawberry Slush and Pear Pizazz and I used the layout from CAS(E) this Sketch:

I stamped the Stamplorations image with Versafine Onyx Black on watercolor paper and watercolored it with Distress Inks.

For You

I created this for the SCS CC509 challenge - cherry cobbler, old olive and soft sky using the CAS(E) This Sketch challenge:

I stamped the Penny Black flower in Memento Tuxedo Black and then colored it with Copic Markers. I used a Wink of Stella Clear Glitter brush pen over some of the flower petals.  I used the PaperTrey Tip Tops Die to cut out the flower panel and adhered it with foam tape.  Enamel dots were used for embellishments.  The patterned paper is also from PaperTrey.

Another Silver Happy Hanukkah Card

Here is another Hanukkah card I made to send out this year.  I brought this glittery paper back from my friend Georgia's house when I went to Nebraska in January.  I will submit this card to CASology for the cue card challenge: SILVER:

I am also submitting this to CAS(E) this Sketch:

and to Just Us Girls:

and to AAA Card Challenge:

The card base is Recollections card stock and I don't know the brand of the glittery papers.  I used PaperTrey dies for the Star of David, the tilted panels and the sentiment banner.  The sentiment is also from PaperTrey.

Happy Hanukkah

I finally got started on making holiday cards - I am selling them in a holiday boutique on November 2 and I have to get my stock built up quickly.  I used the CAS(E) This Sketch for my layout - turned sideways:

The dreidels and sentiment are from Casual Fridays stamps and the "swirl" to indicate the spinning is really a pond "ripple" from a PaperTrey set.  The dreidels were cut out with the companion die and colored with Copic Markers.

Celebrate Your Day

This is for a couple of challenges:

SCS Color Challenge: coral, old olive and daffodil;
CAS(E) This Sketch 83:

When I saw this sketch I thought about this Avery Elle set I just got.  The banner and the sentiment are from Winnie & Walter.  I used the SU! markers directly to the flowers and leaves, misted with water and stamped them onto watercolor paper.  I stamped the banner and sentiment with Memento ink and hand cut out the banner.

Happy Birthday to You

This is for the SCS color challenge using the layout from CAS(E) This Sketch #70:

The colors for the challenge were Old Olive, Bermuda Bay and Night of Navy.  I only had a Bermuda Bay marker so I used that to color the solid flower image and stamped it onto the die cuts.  I then used the line art image with Night of Navy ink to stamp over the solid image.  The leaves were stamped with Old Olive.

Spring Wishes

My second post for today...

I really liked the CAS(E) This Sketch 67:

I watercolored the PaperTrey Spring Hills image with watercolor pencils and an aquabrush and blended Distress Inks for the back panel.  Since I did some water coloring I am submitting this to Virginia's View Challenge.

Thanks!

I created this for several challenges:

Less Is More 161 - Yellow and Green
CAS(E) This Sketch
Little Red Wagon - Spring
The Card Concept - Floral Theme - Clean and Simple
The Friday Mashup - Spring Flowers
Virginia's View - Watercoloring
The Paper Players - Spring Thank You card
CAS On Sunday - Color Me Pretty - use markers, pencils....

This was also made for the SCS Inspiration challenge and Featured Stamper Challenge.

Wow I've never made one card for so many challenges before!  I colored this Rubbernecker 4 step stamping image with Distress markers, spritzed them with water and stamped them onto Tim Holtz Watercolor paper.  The sentiment is from Amuse.
The style of this card according to the Card Concept is CAS (Clean and Simple).  Here is their definition:

  • One main image
  • Lots of open space (uncluttered)
  • Limited layers & embellishments
  • Quick & easy to recreate

ATCAS #32 - Coffee and CAS(E) This Sketch

Welcome to a new ATCAS challenge!  Our fabulous hostess is Deepti and she selected the code word: COFFEE for this challenge:

Our wonderful sponsor for this challenge is Bugaboo Stamps:

We also have a guest designer this month: Anni.  So please check out the ATCAS challenge blog to see all of the designers' cards for lots of inspiration!

I was stuck for an idea for this challenge until I saw the current CAS(E) This Sketch challenge:

I started out with the cup of coffee and the sentiment from a PaperTrey set on an A2 size card but it looked too blah and empty (I know, usually I am a minimalist...).  So I added the PaperTrey square frame and the rest of the sentiment and cut off the bottom to make this a 4.25" square card.  It still looks a bit bare but better than the original!

FBW256 - Recipe Challenge

Welcome back to another Flutter By Wednesday challenge!  This week we have a recipe challenge: 3 patterned papers, 3 embellishments and sparkle!  Don't forget to use a butterfly or a fairy too!  If there are more than 100 entries Danni will be picking a random winner to receive a prize so don't forget to link your card up to the Flutter By Wednesday blog!  There is a lot of inspiration there from the DT so check the samples out!
I used the CAS(E) This Sketch for my layout.  The 3 patterned papers are from MME and I used sequins, rhinestones and pearls as my three embellishments.  The sparkle comes with the sequins and rhinestones. The butterflies are die cuts from PaperTrey Butterfly Dreams die and the sentiment is from Taylored Expressions.  I enjoyed being challenged by this recipe to keep my card CAS!

HYCCT - Pinterest Inspiration and Punch It Out

This card was inspired by a Pinterest photo of a yummy ombre cake.  It was also inspired by the MUSE challenge - I was inspired by the slanted panel.  I first stamped the Unity flowers with Versamark ink and embossed it with white embossing powder.  Then I sponged various hues of pink for the ombre effect.  Lastly I used a dark pink ink on the script background stamp and stamped over the whole panel.  I then wiped off any ink from the white flowers.

This card was made for the HYCCT challenge to use punches or dies.  I combined this challenge with the SCS F4A189 which was to use texture on your card and fall colors. This layout is from this week's CAS(E) This Sketch. I used felt in fall colors and die cut it with a leaf die from Sweet 'N Sassy stamps.
The sentiment is from Amuse Studio.

Thanks

This is for the SCS color challenge using the sketch from the current CAS(E) this Sketch:

The daisy die cuts are from Simon Says Stamps die and the "Thanks" is from a Memory Box die.  I cut the flowers out of the white panel, then again out of each color and then did an inlay back into the negative space on the white panel.  Once that was done I ran the panel through my Big Shot with a LifeStyle embossing folder.
