What's Mew?
The SCS TLC challenge was to use the Positive and the Negative die cuts. I had the larger black cat cut from my Cameo so I found a cute and small cat die from Taylored Expressions and cut a portion out of the black cat. The sentiment is from Sugar Pea Designs and I drew the line with a Multiliner pen and a T-ruler.

More Copic Coloring
I'm still practicing with my Copic markers. This card is a result of several challenges over at SCS - The HYCCT1404 - cannot use tape or other adhesive to hold the elements together on a card - I used brads; CAS294 is to paper pierce and this is a case of the FS401 stamper - angiestamps.
The image is from Taylored Expressions and was colored with Copic markers. I paper pierced the waves (along the top and underneath). The banner die is from Sweet 'N Sassy. I colored the waves and the hearts with my clear Wink of Stella pen.

So Smoky and Slushy Cards
Weird title for a post! So Smoky and Slushy refers to the colors for this week's color challenge on SCS. I am guest designing there for the month of June. The colors this week are: So Saffron, Smoky Slate and Strawberry Slush. The first two cards were created using the watercoloring with stencils technique that Tim Holtz taught in the online Watercoloring for Cardmakers class. I wasn't happy with the background on the first card so I made another one.
After making the first two cards I remembered that I have a few MME 6x6" patterned paper pads that had these colors. So I made the following two cards:
The above card uses the sketch from the Stamplorations blog. The sentiment is from Winnie and Walter.
This card uses the sketch from Seize the Sketch:
I didn't put a sentiment on this one - I hated to cover up this beautiful patterned paper.

Believe
The SCS CAS challenge this week is to use stars on your card. I inked up this image from Taylored Expressions with Memento Paris Dusk ink and stamped it on PaperTrey white cardstock. THe sentiment is from the same stamp set. I embossed the card front with a Darice embossing folder and then mounted the panel with foam tape.

FBW256 - Recipe Challenge
Welcome back to another Flutter By Wednesday challenge! This week we have a recipe challenge: 3 patterned papers, 3 embellishments and sparkle! Don't forget to use a butterfly or a fairy too! If there are more than 100 entries Danni will be picking a random winner to receive a prize so don't forget to link your card up to the Flutter By Wednesday blog! There is a lot of inspiration there from the DT so check the samples out!
I used the CAS(E) This Sketch for my layout. The 3 patterned papers are from MME and I used sequins, rhinestones and pearls as my three embellishments. The sparkle comes with the sequins and rhinestones. The butterflies are die cuts from PaperTrey Butterfly Dreams die and the sentiment is from Taylored Expressions. I enjoyed being challenged by this recipe to keep my card CAS!

Pinterest Inspiration Photo
This week's SCS CAS Challenge is to create a card inspired by this photo that was pinned to Pinterest. There is so much to be inspired by in this photo! I went with some of the colors and the store front windows. The image is from Taylored Expressions and was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black onto water color paper and colored with Distress Markers and an Aquabrush. The window is a Memory Box die cut and I used PTI patterned paper and a scrap of MME paper for the background.

Blue Sky Cajun Flowers
This is the card I created for the SCS CC441 which was to use Soft Sky, Cajun Craze and Night of Navy using the Mojo Monday 308 sketch:
I used Bashful Blue since I didn't have Soft Sky. I also rotated the sketch 90 degrees. I first brayered the blues onto some white card stock and then cut out the oval with a Nestability. The silhouette flowers are cut with a Taylored Expressions die and the butterflies are from a MS punch.

Love You Tons!
This is for the SCS CAS220 challenge which is a Limited Supplies challenge - we were not to use any words or sentiments and to let the image convey the message. I think this whale couple is so cute. I paper pieced it with MME paper and colored the rest in with Spica Glitter pens. The image is from Taylored Expressions.

Flutter By Wednesday #151 - Open Challenge & Taylored Expressions (TE) Blast From the Past Blog Hop
What a wonderful Wednesday - Flutter By Wednesday AND the TE Blast From the Past Blog Hop. My one card is for these two challenges and it uses the CPS sketch for this week: CPS214 - I just flipped it upside down. The FBW challenge is an open one - just remember to use a butterfly, fairy or an angel. The TE blog hop is focusing on Clean and Simple (CAS) cards - of course I couldn't resist this hop!
The butterfly and sentiment are from TE Discover Your Wings stamp set. The patterned paper is from an old DCWV 8x8 mat stack. I used Memento ink and dressed up the butterflies with pearls.
Below is a list of blog hop participants but if you hit a broken link you can always go to Taylored Expressions blog to get back on the hop!

TE Blast From the Past Blog Hop & Flutter By Wednesday
Welcome to Flutter By Wednesday and Taylored Expressions (TE) Blast From the Past blog hop! I made this stair step card for both challenges! Flutter By Wednesday is an open challenge - just remember your butterfly, fairy or angel. The theme for the TE Blast From the Past blog hop is Spring and I used TE Discover Your Wings stamp set. I have a list of the blog hop participants and links to their blogs at the bottom of this post. Please stop by and leave them a comment.
This first photo is showing the card straight on:
This second photo shows the card from the side so you can see the dimension.
All panels have images from the stamp set: the butterflies on the font panel, the wildflowers on the middle panel and the graceful butterfly on the back panel. The middle panel is the out of the box technique.

Flutter By Wednesday #138 - Anything Goes
Welcome to Flutter By Wednesday - this week's challenge is Anything Goes - but you need to include a Butterfly, Fairy or an Angel on your creation! I combined a few challenges from SCS this week to make this card: The CAS102 which is a sketch, the TLC308 - to use a silhouette image and the CC306 - to use Pear Pizzazz, Baja Breeze and Bravo Burgandy.
I used a heart Nestability to cut out a mask and I sponged on the blue and green inks. Before removing the mask I stamped the image and sentiment. I colored the wings with Star Dust Stickles (though it doesn't really show up).
Now it is your turn - create a new project using a butterfly, fairy or an angel and link it directly to InLinkz on the Flutter By Wednesday blog. Check out with the other Flutterbies created - their blog addresses are on the sidebar of my blog and on the FBW blog.
Thanks for coming by!
Supplies: Stamps - Unity, Taylored Expressions (sentiment); Ink - Adirondack, Memento, PaperTrey; Paper - PaperTrey; Misc - Heart Nestability, sponge, Stickles

Welcome to the Taylored Expressions (TE) Blast from the Past blog hop! I used this sketch that Sankari created:
I used Taylored Expressions Garden Party Blooms stamp set and colored the images with SU! markers. The patterned paper is from Paper Trey and the yellow textured paper is Bazzill. I cut out the three flowers on the lower left and popped them up on foam squares.

OLW16 Stamp a Scene
These cards were created for Susan's challenge One Layer Wednesday - to stamp a scene. I think I'm a bit off on my card creating today but oh well, it is what it is. The first card is my 4th attempt to create what I had in my head! I thought the image was bigger than it is and this is a 4.25 square card!
I went with the 1/3rd principle but it sure looks unbalanced to me. First I stamped the silhouette image with Versafine Onyx Black and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I used Taylored Expressions Cloud background with Memento Summer Sky ink after masking the bottom with a post-it note. I sponged in the grass, colored in a bit of the sun (it needed something else!!) and then stamped the sentiment. I probably should have stamped the sentiment a little higher in the blue sky part - maybe that is what would make it look more balanced.
This next one was much easier! This is one image from Inkadinkado. I stamped it and colored it in with SU! markers. Easy one!

Supplies: Stamps - Flourishes, Inkadinkado, Taylored Expressions; Ink - Versafine Onyx Black, Memento Tuxedo Black, Summer Sky, Cottage Ivy; Misc - SU! markers, sponge, clear EP

Taylored Expressions Blog Hop Blast from the Past
Welcome to the Taylored Expressions (TE) Blast from the Past blog hop! This is my first time hopping with other TE customers and it is fun! I used this sketch that Sankari created:
I used stamps from a few TE sets: Beary Special, Beary Special Accessories and the sentiment and cupcake from Special Occasions. I paper pieced some of the bear and the balloon with Making Memories dp and water colored the rest of the image. I also paper pieced the cupcake paper and used Spica glitter pens to color the cherry and cake.Below is a list of the other participants on the hop! I hope you check out what everyone else has created and leave them a comment!

My Visit with my BSF's and Taylor of Taylored Expressions
I can't believe after all that waiting I'm already back from my trip to Minneapolis and Des Moines, visiting, playing and shopping with my BSFs from my Yahoo group. I flew to Minneapolis last Saturday and stayed over night with my friend Lynette. On Sunday we drove to Des Moines, Iowa and met with most of the group for lunch in Valley Junction. After lunch we went to the Heirloom Scrapbooking Store for some shopping therapy! On Monday we spent the day at Archivers. This is the 3rd year that we've done this - we use one of their classrooms and we share techniques, shop and stamp from 10AM-9PM! I had arranged a visit to Taylored Expressions in Taylor Van Bruggen's home for Tuesday morning. I met Taylor at the winter CHA Super Show and we talked about my group visiting this summer. She had planned a make and take, gave us a demo using the Companion Workshop templates with Maya Mist and then opened her store for shopping! Here is Taylor in her classroom and store:
Here is a pic of the Make and Take we did:
Here is a picture of me with Taylor and her mom Linda:
and me with Taylor and Lynette:
and with Taylor, Sheri (and Flat Char) and Linda:
And the icing on the (cup)cake - Taylor had cupcakes, lemonade and a goodie bag for each of us!
What a wonderful visit we had and we hope to go back again next year! Thanks again Taylor for such a fun time!

A Free 4 All Card for Debzi333
I wanted to play in some challenges today so I ended up making this card for 3 of them. I used Taylored Expressions Sketch 114, cased Debzi333's card for the Queen for the Day and used buttons and lace (ribbon) for the SCS Free 4 All.
I finally inked up the PaperTrey Little Argyle set for this card. I love these colors together too - Memento Desert Sand and PTI Ocean Tides. I water colored the bear and used my Nestabilities to cut and mat the image.

Supplies: Stamps - Taylored Expressions; Ink - Memento, PaperTrey Ocean Tides; Paper - PaperTrey; Misc - Watercolor Pencils, Aquabrush, Nestabilities, Lace, Buttons, Embroidery Thread, Copic Marker, Foam Squares
