Birthday Wishes
I found a few minutes to play tonight - I am in between travels! This was created for the FTL298 which will be posted on Friday the 4th at the Clean and Simple Stamping blog. I used the
Curtain Call Birthday Bash challenge to help me choose the colors and patterned paper. The paper is from MME and the sentiment is from PaperTrey.

Sketch Redo
I started to create a card for Leslie Croghan's Sketch Challenge #8:
But when I got to the any shape part of the design I didn't want to cover up the beautiful paper! So I ended up with this card:
I ended up submitting this card to the Seize the Sketch challenge which was this sketch:
I finally decided what I would put on Leslie's Sketch #8 sketch for the any shape panel - a vellum butterfly die cut. So here is the card I am submitting to that sketch challenge:
I used a die from PaperTrey's Life is Beautiful set. I adhered enamel dots from MME to the body and attached the butterfly with a foam square. The papers are from MME also.

So Smoky and Slushy Cards
Weird title for a post! So Smoky and Slushy refers to the colors for this week's color challenge on SCS. I am guest designing there for the month of June. The colors this week are: So Saffron, Smoky Slate and Strawberry Slush. The first two cards were created using the watercoloring with stencils technique that Tim Holtz taught in the online Watercoloring for Cardmakers class. I wasn't happy with the background on the first card so I made another one.
After making the first two cards I remembered that I have a few MME 6x6" patterned paper pads that had these colors. So I made the following two cards:
The above card uses the sketch from the Stamplorations blog. The sentiment is from Winnie and Walter.
This card uses the sketch from Seize the Sketch:
I didn't put a sentiment on this one - I hated to cover up this beautiful patterned paper.

Mr & Mr
Ever try to find a greeting card for a gay wedding? This is the second time I've needed to make one. I decided to use the new to me technique called the Building Block card which was the technique challenge at SCS today. You can find the tutorial here. It wasn't really hard and the tutorial was very clear - I did watch the video as well as read through the written instructions. I used papers from MME. The flowers are Simon Says Stamp Fresh Daisies and the letters are from PaperTrey dies. I stamped the sentiment and hearts with images from Hero Arts.

What Goes Up & Never Comes Down?
This is a birthday card I made for one of my knitting friends. When you pull the tab it says "Your age! Happy birthday!" I used the interactive die from PaperTrey which I have had for a long time and never used. I guess I was a bit intimidated by them. The PTI DT just did blog posts using these dies so I was encouraged to try one. This is a case of Cristina's card. I used the colors from the Dynamic Duos challenge: real red and Island Indigo. The patterned paper is from MME and all other products are from PaperTrey.

ATCAS #30
Welcome to the newest ATCAS challenge - ATCAS#30. Our hostess is Shana and she chose the code word: NEW
Our sponsor for this challenge is DeeDee's Digis:
I have been making quite a few baby cards lately - mostly for my friends that are grand parents with new grand children. For this card I used the PaperTrey (PTI) onsie die and MME and PTI patterned papers. Then I stamped the onsie image on each die cut. The sentiment is also from PaperTrey and the banner is hand cut. The heart button is from my stash.
I am also entering this in the Less Is More Challenge - theme is new baby.

FBW261 - Hello!
Welcome to Flutter By Wednesday 261. Our challenge this week is an open one - just remember to use a butterfly or a fairy on your card.
I used the Hero Arts butterfly image with the companion Sizzix Framelit die directly on MME patterned paper. I created a handmade banner and stamped the sentiment from MME with Versafine Onyx Black onto the banner. I added the rhinestones to finish it off.
Please go to the Flutter By Wednesday blog and check out the inspiration from the rest of the FBW team!

FBW258 - Any Color But Orange and Black
Welcome to Flutter By Wednesday #258. This week our challenge is to use any colors but orange and black. You also need to include a butterfly or a fairy of course! I was a bit stumped at first because I wasn't sure whether using black ink for line art was acceptable. I avoided the question and went with die cuts!! I used the Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch for my layout:
So now it is your turn to play. Link up your creation following the challenge guidelines to InLinkz on the Flutter By Wednesday challenge blog. As always, if there are 100+ entries a winner will be randomly selected to win a prize.

FBW257 - A Sketch
Welcome to Flutter By Wednesday #257! This week we have a sketch created by our team member Kathy (I love her sketches). We also have some new design team members so please go to the Flutter By Wednesday challenge blog to meet them.
Here is the sketch:
As you can see I rotated it 90 degrees to the right. I used Washi Tape for some of the stripes which was a HYCCT challenge this past Sunday. I had the butterfly die cut and stamped already so I just added the pearls and adhered it to the card with a foam square.
Don't forget when you create your card following this sketch to include a butterfly or a fairy on it. Also, just a reminder, that if we get 100+ entries, Danni will be giving a prize to the randomly selected participant!

HYCCT - Beautiful You
This card was created for the HYCCT challenge to use the colors of October - pink, yellow and green and to use something shimmery. This is also a case of a card by Tesa, the SCS Featured Stamper this week. It took me forever to make those banners - they were done by hand and being spatially challenged this was quite a feat for me - and I am very proud of them! The patterned papers are from MME and the sentiment is from Verve.

Sunshine and Happiness
This was created for another SCS Dare to Get Dirty Challenge (DTGD). I used scraps that I had from one of my MME patterned paper pads. This is also a case of Wanda Guess' (the featured stamper) card.
The sentiment is from a Studio G $1 stamp set. The butterfly is a PaperTrey die cut.

Summer Camp Wk 3 Day 5 and DTGD
This is my last card created for the online Summer Card Camp 2 class. I am sad that this class is over - it was one of the best classes I've taken. It was the first time I was able to fully participate and do all of the homework. Anyway, this is using color combo number 1 from the additional colors we were given to work with on Friday. I omitted the pink. This is also for Cindy's DTGD inspiration photo on SCS. I used the MFT Wednesday sketch for the design. The flowers were created using the PaperTrey Delightful Dahlia dies and stamped with the Dahlia Additions stamps - 3 step stamping. The sentiment is from the same set. Chevron paper is from MME.

Summer Camp Week 1 Day 3
I am already falling behind on my homework assignments! I started out trying to take Day 4's homework assignment which was to take the challenge of making a card in 10 minutes. Since they gave us the colors and gave us sketches I thought that shouldn't be too difficult though it usually takes me forever to make a card unless it is a CAS one layer! Anyway this card took me over an hour so I am using this for Day 3's homework which I hadn't done yet anyway!
I did have a lot of fun with this and used some new product that I've had for a while. The sentiment, bee and honeycomb images are from MME The Sweetest Thing stamp set. The "You" die cut is from Simon Says Stamp. I used a Spellbinders Embossability folder on vellum as a mat and the sentiments are stamped on banners that I cut with a PaperTrey double ended banner die. The inks are all PaperTrey are the papers.

A CAS Sketch
the CAS challenge at SCS this week is a sketch. I let the patterned paper do the work this time. The paper is from MME and I cut it into three panels and adhered it to Smokey Gray card stock. I stamped the Hero Arts sentiment onto the patterned paper with Charcoal shadow ink and hand cut the banner. I added the button and some rhinestones for embellishments.
My cat Stormy wanted to get into the picture too!

FBW243 Perfect Just the Way You Are
Wow it is Wednesday already! Time for a new Flutter By Wednesday challenge. This week we have an open challenge - just remember to include a butterfly or a fairy. Also please take time to read all of the rules or challenge criteria and follow them - we have been seeing several posts that don't follow the rules and they have to be deleted. We are being sponsored by 2 Cute Ink:
Please check the Flutter By Wednesday blog for details of the challenge and the prize our sponsor is offering.
I used Caterpillar Hugs from 2 Cute Ink. I printed it onto watercolor paper and used distress inks a nd an aquabrush to color in the image. I framed it with a frame image from PaperTrey ink and added the sentiment from My Minds Eye (MME). I then colored in the grass and sky with Copic markers. I cut it out and adhered the panel to a Kraft card base.

FTL243 and Fusion Hypothesis #9
I created this card using the FTL243 layout from the Clean and Simple Stamping blog:
and using Lesley's photo from the Fusion Card Challenge blog, Hypothesis #9:
and using Lesley's photo from the Fusion Card Challenge blog, Hypothesis #9:

HELLO!
I created this for the MUSE Card Club Challenge. Our inspiration is this card from Marion Vagg:
As soon as I saw Marion's card I thought of my PaperTrey Springtime Doodles stamp set with the whimsical flowers and bugs. I stamped the flowers with Memento ink and colored them in with Copic markers. I added Frosted Lace Stickles to the bee's wings and to the flowers and Glossy Accents to the center of the coneflower. The sentiment is from MME stamp set.

Love You Tons!
This is for the SCS CAS220 challenge which is a Limited Supplies challenge - we were not to use any words or sentiments and to let the image convey the message. I think this whale couple is so cute. I paper pieced it with MME paper and colored the rest in with Spica Glitter pens. The image is from Taylored Expressions.

Miss You
I feel like I am playing hooky since I made this card instead of making a card for my card class homework! I played in two more challenges:
The Dynamic Duos and Fusion:
I took the colors (they look a bit off in my photo) obviously from the Dynamic Duo challenge but also from the Fusion photo - Lesley's challenge. I used Jackie's sketch so I created a Fusion between the two!
The papers I used are from MME. The bird is a WPlus9 die cut and the branch is a part of a Memory Box die cut. I adhered the bird with a foam square and placed a blue rhinestone in the eye. The sentiment is from MFT's Pretty Poppies set and is inked in Chocolate Chip.
