Create For Fun with CPS

I created this using the CPS269 sketch using the CR84FN56 colors: yellow, gray and a neutral:

The image I used is a stamp off from one of my Yahoo group stamping friends.  I think this is a Magneta stamp.  I used Prismacolors and Goo Gone to color the image and the patterned paper is from MME Follow Your Heart pad.

I Miss You

I created this card for the CAS158 challenge which was to use stitching (faux or real) on our card.  I used the current CPS253 sketch.  The image and sentiment are from a new Unity set designed by Phyllis Harris.  I used my Tim Holtz ruler and a paper piercer to make the sun rays and then stitched them with embroidery floss.  The sun is a Memory Box Woven Circle Die.

Flutter By Wednesday #151 - Open Challenge & Taylored Expressions (TE) Blast From the Past Blog Hop

What a wonderful Wednesday - Flutter By Wednesday AND the TE Blast From the Past Blog Hop.  My one card is for these two challenges and it uses the CPS sketch for this week: CPS214 - I just flipped it upside down. The FBW challenge is an open one - just remember to use a butterfly, fairy or an angel.  The TE blog hop is focusing on Clean and Simple (CAS) cards - of course I couldn't resist this hop!
The butterfly and sentiment are from TE Discover Your Wings stamp set.  The patterned paper is from an old DCWV 8x8 mat stack.  I used Memento ink and dressed up the butterflies with pearls.

My Card:
The mouse with the daisy is an image from the Greet the Day with Gerber set.  I colored the mouse with watercolor pencils and an aquabrush.  I stamped the image again on yellow paper, cut out the daisy  and glued it on top of the stamped image.  The sketch is this week's CPS sketch CPS204.

In addition to the Underpants Frogs image I used the May The Light...(7007-J) verse from RI as well on my card which loosely followed last week's CPS177 sketch.  I stamped the frogs and water colored them and I used a piercing template to pierce the lower corners on both panels.

Damselfly - Repeat Impressions SOTW

Welcome to another Repeat Impressions (RI) Stamp of the Week post.  This week RI is featuring this gorgeous Damselfly (4402-O).  I love butterflies and dragonflies and I think this Damselfly is a beauty!!  Here is a Wikipedia definition of Damselfly: Damselflies are similar to dragonflies, but the adults can be differentiated by the fact that the wings of most damselflies are held along, and parallel to, the body when at rest. Furthermore, the hindwing of the damselfly is essentially similar to the forewing, while the hindwing of the dragonfly broadens near the base, caudal to the connecting point at the body. Damselflies are also usually smaller, weaker fliers than dragonflies, and their eyes are separated.  I had to look up the difference between damselflies and dragonflies so I thought I'd share that with you.  Would you believe I thought maybe Damselflies were female and dragonflies are males?  I'm glad I looked it up!

I used CPS176 sketch for my card and the papers are from the DCWV Far East mat stack.  I stamped the Damselfly with Memento London Fog ink directly onto the textured dp and colored it in with a lavender Spica glitter pen.  I cut it out and popped it up on the main panel.  I used RI's dragonfly (102-F) image with Versamark on the other panels and under the main image.
