I finally got to posting again - I have been making lots of cards for the SCS cancer drive but I haven't been posting them here since I haven't had much time for that. ATCAS#29 - Die Cuts

Happy New Year and welcome back to a new year of challenges at ATCAS!  Our hostess Loll chose the Code Word: Die Cuts for our first challenge of 2014:

The challenge for me this time was which die cuts to use!  I needed a card for my good stamping friend Lynette's milestone birthday so I created this card.  On the inside (forgot to take a picture of it) is a cat
with a big grin on his face and the sentiment says "...so I ate him. Your secret is safe with me!"  The sentiment on the card front and on the inside are from Repeat Impressions.  The bird, tree branch and cat are all from Memory Box and the clouds are from wPlus9.  The sentiment banner is hand cut.

ATCAS27 - I Love You Beary Much

Welcome to a new challenge at Addicted to CAS (ATCAS).  Our challenge is hosted by Vicki who chose the code word: PET.

I LOVE cats - my blog is even named after my favorite calico cat Ally.  So of course I had to make a card with a cat on it!  This image is from Repeat Impressions (RI) called Feline Friendly.  The sentiment is also from RI.  I used watercolor pencils and an aquabrush to color the image before cutting it out.  I adhered it to the heart die cut with foam squares.

VSNJ Pretty Popsicles

This is the card I created using the FTL sketch from the Clean and Simple Stamping blog for an SCS VSN challenge called Pretty Popsicles.  We were supposed to use the colors of popsicles on our card.  I used the ice cream cones from Repeat Impressions but I put sherbet in them!  :o)  The sentiment is also from Repeat Impressions.

You're One in a Melon!

I created this for the SCS CAS185 challenge. The theme is summer treats.  I used the Repeat Impressions What if Wednesday sketch:

and also used my Repeat Impressions stamps.  The patterned paper is from Prima.  I colored the watermelon with Distress Markers and after stamping it I used a water brush and the distress markers to color it in.  The sentiment was stamped with Distress ink.

Dirty CAS Cards

These cards were created for the CAS182 color challenge - Dark Blue and White.  They were also submitted to some of the SCS Dare to get Dirty challenges.   The hexagons were created with a PaperTrey Hexagon Die and I stamped the pieces with images from the PTI Happy Hexagons set. The sentiment is from a WoodwareUSA set.
The second card was stamped with a Repeat Impressions image in Memento Danube Blue onto white card stock.

Snow Globe Tag Ornament

I combined two SCS challenges and came up with this snow globe tag/ornament.  The CAS149 challenge was a sketch and the TLC356 challenge was to make a card with a snow globe.  This is a Repeat Impressions image which I stamped onto the top fold of a 4.25" square card. I also stamped it onto Crate Paper patterned paper and cut it out for the base.  The image is colored with SU! Markers and Frosted Lace Stickles.  I cut out the snow globe and added the tag and the ribbon.

Welcome to Repeat Impressions What If Wednesday - DCC (Designers Choice Challenge) by Robin.  I am sad to say that this will be my last post as a Repeat Impression Rock Star.  This time of year is so busy so I decided to step down.  It has been a wonderful year and a half on the RI team - my first DT assignment!  Of course I will still be using these wonderful stamps!
So this week we were challenged by Robin to create a card using animals.  I picked one of my favorite RI images - Feline Friendly (1602-P) and stamped it with Memento ink and colored it with water color pencils and an aquabrush.  I cut it out with a Nestability and used PTI Chamomile ink to sponge around the image.  I love these new papers I found - Simple Stories - Generations.

I used the colors from the SCS color challenge: turquoise, pumpkin and olive.  Aren't these colors gorgeous?? The patterned paper is from Bo Bunny.  I stamped the RI Round Pumpkin (2318-G) twice, colored them in with Copic markers and cut them out and layered them.  The top one is attached with foam squares but it is hard to see in this photo.  The sentiment is also from RI.

I love this image and I had to trim off the ends so that it would fit in the sketch - it is so fun to color.  The image is called Woodland Friends (703-P) and I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it in with water color pencils and an aquabrush.
