These cards were created for Susan's challenge One Layer Wednesday - to stamp a scene. I think I'm a bit off on my card creating today but oh well, it is what it is. The first card is my 4th attempt to create what I had in my head! I thought the image was bigger than it is and this is a 4.25 square card!
I went with the 1/3rd principle but it sure looks unbalanced to me. First I stamped the silhouette image with Versafine Onyx Black and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I used Taylored Expressions Cloud background with Memento Summer Sky ink after masking the bottom with a post-it note. I sponged in the grass, colored in a bit of the sun (it needed something else!!) and then stamped the sentiment. I probably should have stamped the sentiment a little higher in the blue sky part - maybe that is what would make it look more balanced.
This next one was much easier! This is one image from Inkadinkado. I stamped it and colored it in with SU! markers. Easy one!
Thanks for coming by!
Supplies: Stamps - Flourishes, Inkadinkado, Taylored Expressions; Ink - Versafine Onyx Black, Memento Tuxedo Black, Summer Sky, Cottage Ivy; Misc - SU! markers, sponge, clear EP
