Thanks
I created this card for a few challenges:
The Card Concept: I guess I'd call this style Mixed Media or Clean and Layered.
CAS(E) This Sketch:
Just Us Girls: Stacked die cuts
I heat embossed the Stampendous butterfly with Hero Arts White embossing powder onto white card stock. I then blended various distress inks over the butterflies for an emboss resist. The sentiment is a die cut from Winnie & Walter. I cut a few and stacked them for the dimension.

Thankful For you
This was definitely fun but I need lots more practice. This technique uses liquid masks with watercoloring to create a one layer card. First I had to drive all over town to find some rubber cement! Anyway, I stamped the Stampendous butterfly image with Versafine Onyx Black on Tim Holtz Water color paper. The water colors I used are Peerless Water Colors that I bought about 8 years ago and have only used a few times!
These colors are so intense and beautiful!

GRUNGE!
Wow it's already time for another ATCAS challenge! Challenge 37 is hosted by our fearless leader Kylie and she chose the code word to be: GRUNGE:
Our sponsor is Bugaboo Digi Stamps:
Anita our guest designer joins us again this week so don't forget to stop at the ATCAS challenge blog to see what she has created along with the rest of the design team!
This was certainly a challenge for me and I searched through galleries of "grunge" cards until I felt I got the hang of making one. I used a stamp set from Rubbernecker called Scuffs, Scraps and Stains and Hero Arts Shadow inks for the "grunge" images . The flowers are from Stampendous and the sentiment is from another Rubbernecker set called Layered Flowers.
I chose to use these colors so I could play in the Color Me Playful Challenge:

HYCCT - Wish Big and Send Flowers!
This was created for the HYCCT challenge to send flowers to a cancer patient. I used the SCS sketch for this week. There were so many layers to the sketch for this CAS stamper that I decided to make them all white which would make the focal panel pop. I did an emboss resist with the flowers and sponged the panel with Distress Inks. The white panels were all embossed with butterfly embossing folders.

FBW255 - Open Challenge; LIM#139 Sketch 10
Besides butterflies some of my favorite things are poppies, cats and the Fall. Here I used my Fluffles stamp depicting my love for cats and the Fall and used the sketch from Less Is More:
I created a circle mask and stamped the image inside the circle. I then water colored it with distress markers and an aquabrush. I didn't want to cover up the pretty fall leaves so I stamped the sentiment from Paper and Such onto vellum with Versafine Onyx Black ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I cut it out with the PaperTrey double ended banner die.

ATCAS #2 - BAUBLES!
I created a one layer card for my sample today. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder to create the frame, stamped the Stampendous Fluffles image with Memento Tuxedo Black and then colored it in with Copic Spica Glitter Pens.

Flutter By Wednesday #176 - Open Challenge
My card was made for two other challenges - this week's SCS sketch challenge (SC355) and for the HYCCT1118 - to use purple on your card. I have been trying to get all of the HYCCT challenges done and all the cards will go to MD Anderson Cancer Center. I did a color wash on water color paper with Twinking H2O's and an aquabrush. When it was dry I stamped the butterfly and sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black. All panels are matted with black card stock. The image panel is popped up with foam squares.

Groovy Inclinations Inspiration

Some title, huh?!? That is the title for the SCS Inspiration challenge for this week. The inspiration site that Stef picked is Groovy Inclinations. I based my two cards off of this stationery: Kitter Hello. I used Fluffles from Stampendous for the first card and the second card's image is from Shirley's 2 Girls.
Hope you have a great weekend and thanks for coming by!

FTL63 - Thanks

FTL63 from the Clean and Simple Stamping blog is an easy sketch and very versatile. You can use patterned paper for the main panel or stamp your background, which is what I chose to do.
I used the flowers from GinaK A Year of Flowers, the leaves from Stampendous Floral Garden and the sentiment from Amuse. I colored the flowers with SU! markers and stamped on PaperTrey Vanilla Cream and matted the panels with PTI Dark Chocolate. The card base is SU! Crushed Curry and the button is from my stash (and a perfect match!).
ETA: The challenge this week on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog is to create a card with a thankful theme. It can either be a Thanksgiving card or a thank you card.
Thanks for coming by!
Supplies: Stamps - GinaK, Stampendous, Amuse; Ink - SU! Old Olive, Chocolate Chip; Paper - SU! Crushed Curry, PaperTrey Dark Chocolate, Vanilla Cream; Misc - SU! Crushed Curry and Choclate Chip markers, button.

CAS24 Color Challenge

I was lucky enough to be chosen to make samples for the SCS CAS challenge for the months of June, July and August. This week's challenge is a color challenge: turquoise, yellow and orange. I made these three cards for samples. This first one is actually a combination of last week's CAS challenge, inspiration from art.com, and this week. Here is the art I used for inspiration: KarmaPrint
The next two are using the same stamp from Stampendous. Both images were colored with watercolor pencils and an aquabrush. The image on the turquoise card was covered in Versamark and heat embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder. The image was cut out with my long rectangular Nestabilities and then I stamped the sentiment from PaperTrey's Mixed Messages set. The one layer card is done on beautiful Fabriano paper and I added some Amuse Twinklers to the body of the dragonfly and below the image. The wings have Lace stickles.

Supplies: Stamps – Impression Obsession, Stampendous, PaperTrey; Paper – PaperTrey, Bazzil, Fabriano; Ink – Tempting Turquoise, Yoyo Yellow, Only Orange, Versamark, Versafine Onyx Black; Misc – Amuse Twinklers, Scor-pal, Dimensionals, Iridescent Ice embossing powder, Lace Stickles
