Upsy Daisy Tankgrl!

I made this card for the SCS Featured Stamper (FS) challenge today. The FS is Heather (tankgrl) and she has a terrific gallery. I absolutely loved her card This is the day. I have never seen Upsy Daisy look like this and I just got that stamp set this week. I had to case this card!
It took me quite a while to figure out how Heather might have done this. This is what I did - I used PTI Smokey Shadow ink and stamped on Kraft paper. I then colored over the daisy petals with my white Prismacolor watercolor pencil and aquabrush. I added petals to the stamped image since I think that is what Heather did to accomplish the variation in colors. I used my black watercolor pencil and aquabrush to darken the black areas and create the grey shading. I then sponged the kraft background with PTI Snowy White ink. I really like how this came out. I wanted a simple matting and a little bit of ribbon so the focus would be on the image.
Thanks for coming by!
