Speedy the Cat Friends Challenge #45 - Bleach

Welcome to this week's Speedy the Cat's Friends challenge.  We have been challenged to use the bleach technique .  This is my first time using the bleach technique - it was fun and I don't know why it took me this long to try it!!  I stamped the daisies from Mark's Finest Papers Greet the Day with Gerber with Versamark ink and clear embossed it.  I painted the image with bleach and then I used colored pencils to color over the bleached leaves.  The layout I used is a modified version of last week's FTL sketch from the Clean and Simple Stamping blog.  All papers are from Mark's Finest Papers.

Here's the new prize package for playing in the challenges:
Participate in at least 3 of the challenges for the current month,[enter as many times as you would like - must be new projects, no back dating please-] for your chance to be a Guest Designer for the following month on the MFP Sr. Design Team. (Each time you participate, your name is entered in the drawing. The more times you participate, the more times your name is entered!)
The randomly chosen winner will have the choice of participating in the following month's Blog Hop, and will receive a Sr. DT Member package that will contain the 4 stamp sets that will be released in that month, along with papers, and embellishments. The winner will also receive a blog button and a watermark for their MFP creations.

Thanks for coming by!

  3. Harriet, I know...it was the same for me. I had never tried the bleach technique, but now that I did it, it was fun! It's kind of like being a kid in science class. :) It was a great idea to use pencils to color in parts of your image. Well done!
