STAMPlorations Spring Fling Blog Hop and Linky Party - Reminder

This is a "twofer"card technique called mono printing. I first used the Up and Down stencil and blended a few color inks over a piece of card stock. Then instead of cleaning off the stencil I spritzed the stencil with water, turned the stencil over and laid it down on top of another piece of card stock to create the mono print.

This card is a monoprint created from a STAMPlorations stencil. I covered the stencil with different blue distress inks and misted it with water. Then I pressed my watercolor paper down on top of the stencil. After lifting the paper up I let it dry naturally. I love how this came out. I cut out the panel with a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die and then mounted it on the card base. The sentiment is from Winnie and Walter and I used my MISTI so I could get a dark, sharp impression.
