Welcome to Flutter By Wednesday #155. Today we have a sketch challenge - provided by Carly:
Here is my take on the sketch:
I used a new to me image called Butterfly Kisses from the Craft's Meow. I did change up the sketch a bit to accommodate the image. The boxes on the bottom of the sketch reminded me of a woven ribbon so I used my Ribbon Border Punch from Fiskars and weaved the Scarlet Jewel Swiss Dotted ribbon through.
Now it is your turn to play - just create a card based on Carly's sketch and link it directly to InLinkz on the Flutter By Wednesday blog. Don't forget to include a butterfly, fairy or an angel!
Thanks for coming by!
Supplies: Stamps - The Craft's Meow; Paper - PaperTrey; Ink - Versafine Onyx Black, Scarlet Jewel; Misc - Ink blender sponge, Fiskars border punch, Ribbon, Cuttlebug embossing folder
I love how you did the ribbon at the bottom!! I was just on Michelle VP's blog and saw that she did that too. The look of it is so cool.
ReplyDeleteYour image is awesome, I've got it on my never ending wish list!
Oooh, I love how clean and uncluttered you were able to make your card from Carly's sketch! My card has a lot more going on with it than they usually do, LOL. But it'll perfect for my niece! What a pretty image you used here too. And I love that you thought to do the same thing with the ribbon weaving! :)
