Visual Art Journaling with Watercoloring

The last two weeks I have been a "visiting artist" at an overnight camp in Santa Rosa, Ca.  I was teaching Visual Art Journaling (using water coloring techniques) and card making.  So for the next few posts I will share my journal pages here.  This is the first time I have done journaling of any kind. I had a blast playing with the teens and sharing my toys.

I started the class off with doing backgrounds and we did wet on wet color washes with Twinking H2O's:

We also created backgrounds using colored water color pencils and a wet brush.

I used Distress markers on this Penny Black iris and stamped it over the dried background.

Thanks for coming by!
