This week Repeat Impression's Stamp of the Week is this lovely Crowned Crane Deco image. RI is offering its blog readers 50% off of the retail price of this stamp this week. You can get the coupon code from the RI blog - The House That Stamps Built. While you are there, check out what the other DT members created with this image! And there is still time to enter the What If Wednesday sketch challenge for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.
I stamped the Crane image with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto a piece of Kraft card stock. This image has both a negative and positive Crane image. I colored both with water color pencils and and aquabrush. I had some beautiful Asian paper (don't remember the name - it got cut off) that went perfectly with this image. I used a Cuttlebug Embossing folder form the Asian Bundle for the top of the card.

Here's a Great Scoop!
This week's Featured Stamper (FS) on SCS is Scoopy - aka Emily. She is a CAS stamper and I have many cards from her gallery in my favorites! Here are the three cards that I created:
This is a case of Emily's Daisies in a Row.
My second card is a case of Emily's Scoops! card.
And my last card is cased from Emily's Beautiful Marigold. I made a one layer card (OLC) with the sentiment stamped over the flower image for Susan's (Simplicity) OLW6 challenge which you can find here.

SCS Color Challenge Cards
The colors for the SCS color challenge this week were Real Red, Kraft and Bermuda bay. I substituted PTI Hawaiian Shores for the Bermuda Bay. This first image is from Shirley's 2 Girls.
This is the second card I created. The image is from StampingBella and I used the Card Patterns #65 sketch.
Here is the last one - I actually had done the image on this card before the others but wasn't sure what to do with it - so I came back to it the next day and came up with this. This image and sentiment are from PaperTrey's Through the Trees set.

Vase of Tulips - Repeat Impressions SOTW
It's the start of a new week and that means Repeat Impressions is featuring a different image as Stamp of the Week. This week the SOTW is the Vase of Tulips (1317-L). This is a great stamp for coloring in or paper piecing. I chose to color it in with my water color pencils and an aqua brush and I stamped the image twice and colored it and cut out and popped up the yellow tulips. I also embellished the red tulips with Amuse black and sparkly Micro Twinklers. You can get 50% off of this stamp this week at Repeat Impressions - click on this link to go to the RI blog, The House That Stamps Built and get the discount code. While you are at the RI blog, check out what the other designers created with this image!

A Free 4 All Card for Debzi333
I wanted to play in some challenges today so I ended up making this card for 3 of them. I used Taylored Expressions Sketch 114, cased Debzi333's card for the Queen for the Day and used buttons and lace (ribbon) for the SCS Free 4 All.
I finally inked up the PaperTrey Little Argyle set for this card. I love these colors together too - Memento Desert Sand and PTI Ocean Tides. I water colored the bear and used my Nestabilities to cut and mat the image.

Dusty Razzleberry Saffrons
That is the name of this week's SCS color challenge: Dusty Durango, Rich Razzleberry and So Saffron.
This is the first card I came up with. The image is from ISC and I colored it with SU! markers. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on the background panels for texture.
When I was looking through the challenge gallery and commenting, I came across this card created by Birgit and just had to case it. And so this card was born:
I am in love!! Consider the possibilities - different colors, different punches, dry emboss the colored squares, stamp on the top punched squares, etc!!! If you decide to case this I'd love to see what you come up with! Just leave a link to your creation in the comments here.

FBW: Hope Your Day is Fabulous!
Welcome to another Flutter By Wednesday! This week our challenge is to include flowers on our creation - and of course, a butterfly, fairy or angel. What a fun challenge - so come play with us! Just directly link your creation to the Flutter By Wednesday blog. While you are there check out what the rest of the DT created this week to inspire you! Their blog links are on the side bar.
I have been getting into different color combinations lately. This one uses PaperTrey Ocean Tides, Lemon Tart and SU! Dusty Durango. I happened to use these on different cards and they were laying together on my desk. IT is really hard to see the flower in the left bottom corner - it is stamped with Lemon Tart. The flower image is from PaperTrey (PTI) Friends Til the End set and is stamped in all three colors. The sentiment is also from PTI> The 3D butterfly is from K&Co.

Shabby Chic CAS????
This week's SCS CAS challenge was to make a shabby chic CAS card. Aren't they mutually exclusive??? I knew immediately this was going to be a real challenge for me - I am so not a shabby chic kind of card maker! Luckily this week's Featured Stamper is Ctorina (Cathleen) who has one amazing gallery with the most elegant and gorgeous cards. Some are even shabby chic and CAS so I decided to case one of her cards for the CAS challenge. I cased Cathleen's Illinois Wildflowers. I used the same MS border punch along both sides of the card, changed the orientation to landscape and embossed the card front with the Cuttlebug Textile folder. A ribbon was woven through both sides of the card front and I finished the card with the 3D flower stickers. I am amazed that I made a shabby chic CAS card! And it is perfect for a wedding shower that I am attending this weekend!

FBW Let Your Dreams Take Flight
Welcome to this week's Flutter By Wednesday! The challenge this week is to use the paper piecing technique and to include a butterfly, fairy or angel, of course! If you play with us, and I hope you do, please link up your creation directly to InLinkz on the Flutter By Wednesday blog.
I used the SCS sketch SC280 to create this card - a real challenge for me - this took me forever trying to figure out what papers to use for all the layers - totally out of my comfort zone!! I paper pieced the butterfly with some of the papers that I used for the layers. All the patterned papers are from an Archivers pack.

Celebrate with Mambo Suede
This week's color challenge on SCS is to use Melon Mambo and Soft Suede. I only have these colors in markers so that is what I used - I colored the image with my Soft Suede marker and then stamped it directly to the paper. I then used an aquabrush to water color the image with the markers. I used a white gel pen for highlights and then used half back pearls for the flower centers. I used a MS Butterfly punch and embellished them with brown pearls. The sentiment is from PaperTrey.

Queen for the Day: Allee's (Lynn)
I made this card for the SCS Queen for the Day challenge. This week we are honoring Lynn. Lynn has a huge gallery and it is filled with gorgeous cards! I chose her WT220 card to case. Instead of the piercing I used the PaperTrey Background Basics: Tin Types to create a similar pattern. I die cut the Dahlia and leaves and colored them in with Copic markers. I love the peachy and gray colors together.

Upsy Daisy
I made this card for this week's Featured Stamper challenge: case a card from Eliotstamps (Michelle) gallery. I chose Michelle's Daisies Bellied Up card. I used the same image but removed all layers and embellishments. I masked the card front with masking tape to create the white frame and brayered Adirondack Aqua and Sailboat Blue in the open area. I then stamped the Upsy Daisy image with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with White Detailed Embossing Powder.

Flowery Butterfly Sketch
This is the card I made for the SCS sketch challenge this week. It is such a nice CAS sketch. I started out trying to use this week's Color Throw Down challenge which was to use Rose Red, Tempting Turquoise and Kiwi Kiss. I just couldn't get in the Kiwi Kiss but I'm happy with this. The butterfly image is from Inkadinkado and I used the smallest polka dots from PTI Polka Dots Basics for the back panel.

Repeat Impressions Sketch Challenge
Please go to this link for my Flutter By Wednesday Post!
Welcome to the first sketch challenge from Repeat Impressions! Wendy gave us this sketch to use:
You can find all the cards created by the RI Rock Stars (DT) on the Repeat Impressions blog The House that Stamps Built. And we welcome you to play along with us. If you do you have a chance to win some blog candy. Just create a new card using this sketch and link it directly up to Mr Linky on the Repeat Impressions blog. If you post to a public gallery such as SCS, please use the keyword M510 so we can easily find your card.
And here is my take on the sketch:
I used the Dragonfly (102-F) and the Small Pine Tree (2710-D) images from Repeat Impressions. I brayered the image panel with Adirondack inks and then stamped the pine tree a few times and the dragonfly twice. I highlighted them with a white gel pen. I used dragonfly brads in the corners and orange rhinestones on the ribbon. The patterned paper is from Basic Grey's Ambrosia 6x6 pad.

FBW Sponsored by Meljen's Designs (1st post today)
Today Flutter By Wednesday is being sponsored by Meljen's Designs. Meljen's Designs (http://meljensdesigns.com) is a digital stamp company owned and illustrated by Melissa Jenkins. She illustrates whimsical, fun digital images inspired by her kids and family. If you participate in today's challenge you have a chance to win 4 digi stamps from her store. You just need to create a new card using a butterfly, fairy or an angel and directly link it up to InLinkz on the Flutter By Wednesday Blog. I used the butterfly image that Melissa gave us to use. This is my second attempt at using a digi image and I am starting to get the hang of it. I resized it to the size I wanted and I actually rotated it before I decided that I was going to cut them out with my Nestabilities. I used the colors from this week's Color Q challenge (CQC31): I also used this week's CPS sketch (CPS165): Thanks for coming by! Supplies: Stamps - Meljen's Digi stamp, PaperTrey (sentiment); Ink - SU! Brilliant Blue; Paper - PaperTrey, DCWV, SU! Crushed Curry; Misc - hole punch, Nestabilities, SU! I made this card for three challenges from the last few days: F4A10 (flowers), QFTD07 (case a card from Carol's gallery) and IC230 (Jazz It Up).
Carol's gallery is awesome - I chose her Framed Poppies card to case:
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...p;ppuser=88761 and for the IC230 I used the poppies in the Contemporary Raised Print Art:
http://www.jazzitupinteriors.co.uk/a...T_ARTWORK.html
I used the poppies from the There She Goes set and colored them with my Koh-i-noor pencils and Baby Oil. I drew the black frame around the image with the Copic Multiliner pen. The card base is DCWV.

Your Are My Sunshine and a Sunshine Award
I made this card for the SCS sketch challenge this past week and I used the colors from the SCS color challenge. I love these bright and summery colors together. The main image is a $1 Inkadinkado stamp that just happened to fit this sketch perfectly.
I was given this Sunshine Award by LeAnne (Wee Inklings) - thanks so much LeAnne!! It's nice to know that our comments make other stampers happy! I know I love to get comments on my blog posts!
So now here are my 10 bloggers on whom I am bestowing these awards:
Lynette at My Stamping Addiction
Vicki at Heartwarmers
Sheri at Fun with Paper
Susan at Simplicity
Danni at Danni's Dreams
Stacy at Twinshappy
Stef at Glitterbabe
Joan at Stamping with a Passion
Anne at Inking in Red
Cammie at My Blog
Now, here are the rules:
1. Put the Sunshine Award on your blog and/or within your post.
2. Pass the award to 10-12 other bloggers.
3. Link the nominees within your post.
4. Let them know they received this award by leaving a comment on their blog.
5. Share the love and link to the person from whom you received the award.
Thanks again, LeAnne!!
Thanks for coming by!
