Dahlias

This is another card that I created for the QFTD180 at SCS - case a card from CherylQuilts gallery, using this week's SCS color challenge - Midnight Muse, Lucky Limeade and Strawberry Slush.  I cased Cheryl's CAS Sweet Life card.
I used the PaperTrey Dahlia Additions and Delightful Dahlias Stamp sets and dies for the flowers and leaves.  The top of the card is embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The bottom patterned paper is from my stash.  Finished off the card with some sequins.

Celebrate Your Day!

Today I am hostessing the SCS CAS237 challenge - Tool Time.  Use an edge punch (no dies).  This card is a case of the QFTD180 - cherylquilts' Purple Iris Birthday card.  I had to dig out an old Fiskars daisy edge die to go with my flowers from Flourishes.  The sentiment is from PaperTrey Signature Greetings.  The flowers are colored with Copic markers.

A Lot of Cats!

I created this quick and easy one layer card for the SCS QFTD139 and the IC363.  This is a case of Gabby's Fat Cats Unite card and my inspiration piece was the Cat Dish Towel from the Fishs Eddy site.  I used a freebie digi called A Lot of Cats - I don't remember where I got it.  This makes a great set of note cards for a cat lover!!

A Cased Card

I created this for the SCS QFTD103 challenge.  This is a case of Loll Thompson's card that can be found here.  Her card is gorgeous!!  I used the colors from this week's color challenge at SCS (the Distress Inks versions).  The die cuts are from Memory Box.  The panel with the blended inks is adhered to the card base.  The panel with the cut out window and flower die cuts is adhered to the card base with foam tape.  This was a quick card to make so I think I will make a set of these with different color inks.

FTL203, CR84FN60 and QFTD125

I finally was able to find some time to sit down today and make some cards.  I used the emboss resist technique on this one and another one that I made for Wednesday's Flutter By Wednesday blog hop.  This is a case of BarbieP's card who is the SCS Queen for the day (week), using the colors from the curent CR84FN60 (Green, blue and purple) and the layout is this week's FTL203 from the Clean and Simple Stamping blog.  The image is from Unity and I heat embossed it with Detailed white embossing powder.  I used an ink blending tool to sponge on the Distress Inks.

White Winter Flowers

I created this for a few challenges on SCS this week:  QFTD91, WT353 and F4A95.  I used shimmery white cardstock and embossed the top panel with two different CB embossing folders.  I cut out the poinsettias with my Spellbinders Layering Poinsettia die.  I used a metallic gel pen to highlight the top leaves and added a gold pearl to the centers.

Two Quick Challenge Cards

I made two quick CAS cards tonight for some challenges. This first one is for the QFTD67 this week on SCS - case a card from Nancy's (nwilliams6) gallery.

This is what I came up with.  I let the DCWV Mariposa paper do all the work as Nancy did in hers.  I just stamped the sentiment and mounted the dp onto Kraft card stock.
The second card is for three challenges:  Susan (LateBlossom's) One Layer Wednesday#60, The Color Throwdown #148 and for last week's QFTD66 case a card from Marie's (momof5sons) gallery

Make a Wish

This was created for the SCS challenges QFTD64 and the IC288.  The QFTD is Shadow's Mom, Lee-Ann and I cased her Thinking of You card.  The IC288 was to find inspiration on the Dali Decal website - wow that site is loaded with inspiration!  As soon as I saw the Little Girl With Dandelion decal I knew what I was going to make.  This card is a combination of the two inspiration pieces.  I stamped the Butterfly Kisses image from the Cats Meow with Versamark and heat embossed it with white detailed embossing powder.  I did the same for the sentiment.  The paper is shiny silver from PaperTrey.

Wildflowers for Joanne

I made this card for two SCS challenges: last Friday's Queen for the Day (QFTD61) honoring sleepyinseattle (Joanne) and for today's color challenge: Baja Breeze, Soft Suede and Perfect Plum.
I cased Joanne's CAS Just Believe card keeping the same layout. I changed the image, colors and sentiment.  I used the Sweet 'N Sassy Wildflowers and Serene Silhouette sets.  I colored the images with markers, spritzed water on the image and then stamped onto the white card stock.

Out of the Box Lattice

This card was created from three SCS challenges:  Q4TD51 - case Quillster (Jill), CAS110 - Out of the Box Technique and TLC316 - create a lattice or trellis.  I think this looks CAS but it was not quick or easy!  I traced a rectangle on the card front and then stamped the Inkadinkado Butterfly image.  I then cut out the inside of the rectangle and around the butterflies with my craft knife.  I followed these directions for the lattice part and since it is a one layer card, I covered the back of the card front with blue cardstock.  I then water colored the butterflies.

DTGD and QFTD - Sallie

I created this card last week for the SCS Queen for the Day (QFTD) which was Sallie.  I cased Sallie's In My Thoughts card.  This also was for a DTGD challenge - to embrace white space.
I brayered the background with Adirondack inks and then stamped the Inkadinkado swirled butterfly.  I placed a Cuttlebug decorative corner at the bottom right.
I hope you stop by tomorrow, Friday, July 23rd at 7:30 PM CST (5:30 PM  PST) - it is the Clean and Simple Stamping blog's 100th Fall to Layout and we have invited special stampers to join us in a blog hop.  If you are a fan of the CAS style you'll surely love this blog hop!!
