You Shine!

I created this card for the In Rotation Technique challenge over at the Winnie & Walter blog 1st Birthday Bash.  You select an image and stamp it rotating it several times.  I chose the lady's glove from Parentville and stamped it several times and rotating it to make it look like the sun - the fingers are the rays.  This technique really gets you to look at your stamps really differently!  I then looked through several W&W sentiment sets and came up with the sentiment "You are awesome, amazing, talented.  You Shine!"  I then used gold ink and sponged the stars using the star stencil from Winnie & Walter.

W&W sets used: Parentville, The Big, the Bold and You and The Big the Bold and Fun.  Since this is the first time I used Parentville, The Big The Bold and Fun and the star stencil I am entering this card into Darnell's NBUS #3 challenge.

Thanks for coming by!

  1. Rotating a stamp to make a design is a fun and fabulous idea for a challenge and your use of the glove to make a sun is simply genius, Harriet!! I also love your choice of sediment and stars for the rest of your design! Thank you so much for linking this clever card with my NBUS Challenge #3!! Enjoy the weekend! Hugs, Darnell

  2. Oh, Harriet, I LOVE your glove-turned-sun ... what a fun image to pick!!! It totally works! Actually if you stamp it in purple and rotate it would also make a nice clover image. So glad you tried this challenge! I skipped right over that glove. Have a Happy New Year!

  6. I had to look closely to see that you used the hand stamp. What a great idea, Harriet. And I love the way the sentiments cascade down the card between the start.
