So Very Grateful

Here is another piece using Brushos for the background and gold embossing for the leaf and sentiment. The sentiment is NBUS - from WPlus9 latest release. I love the font! After creating the panel I used SSS stitched rectangle die to cut it out and then mounted it on fun foam onto the card base.

Playing With New Schtuf! Brushos

I finally am brushing up on Brushos!  I saw on Sandy Allnock's blog a site of the artist who authored Brusho Secrets. I bought the eBook this morning and I have been playing today - the first day in weeks where I didn't have something I HAD to do.  So I used this new eBook and went through the first 6 lessons learning how to use the Brushos in different ways.  This is a freehand apple using 3 colors of Brushos and 3 different techniques.  It was so much fun.

I will sneak this in under the wire to Darnell's NBUS Challenge #5.

New Year - New NBUS!

In a few days we are starting a new year on the Jewish calendar.  I have been making new year cards to raffle off at my temple to raise money and also to send to my friends and family.  This is one of the cards I made.  I used several PaperTrey stamp sets (NBUS) and the Cover Plate: Comic Strip die (NBUS). This is a case of Lizzy Jones' card.

Faux Laser Cut Card

The inspiration site for the SCS Inspiration challenge tonight was the Paper Art & Sculpture Pinterest site.  I was inspired by two pins:  the humming bird and this pin, the 3rd frame down.  This site reminded me of the Faux Laser Cut technique that Jennifer McGuire shared on her blog.  I used a Quickutz Hummingbird die and a Cuttlebug/Anna Griffin flower die to make this card.

I am submitting this card to the following challenges:

Virginia's View Challenge #11 - Clean Slate

The Curtain Call - Winter Wonder
I was inspired by the neutral colors in the photo.

ShowCASe Your Style  - Use at least one die cut

Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

Darnell's NBUS challenge #3  - This is the first time I used the hummingbird die.

You Shine!

I created this card for the In Rotation Technique challenge over at the Winnie & Walter blog 1st Birthday Bash.  You select an image and stamp it rotating it several times.  I chose the lady's glove from Parentville and stamped it several times and rotating it to make it look like the sun - the fingers are the rays.  This technique really gets you to look at your stamps really differently!  I then looked through several W&W sentiment sets and came up with the sentiment "You are awesome, amazing, talented.  You Shine!"  I then used gold ink and sponged the stars using the star stencil from Winnie & Walter.

W&W sets used: Parentville, The Big, the Bold and You and The Big the Bold and Fun.  Since this is the first time I used Parentville, The Big The Bold and Fun and the star stencil I am entering this card into Darnell's NBUS #3 challenge.

ATCAS #48

Time for a new challenge at the Addicted to CAS Challenge Blog.  Michelle chose the code word CUDDLY for us:

Our generous sponsor is:

And our guest designer is Tenia from Jazzy Paper Designs.  Check out the awesome samples from the design team at the ATCAS challenge blog for more inspiration!

I used images from MFT and I cut up part of a sentiment from another MFT set.  I used Prima papers to paper piece the PJ's and watercolor pencils to color the girl's face and hair and the ears on the bunnies.  The double ended banner is from PaperTrey.

I am entering this card into the Fusion challenge:
