I finally got to posting again - I have been making lots of cards for the SCS cancer drive but I haven't been posting them here since I haven't had much time for that. I wanted to enter this into some other challenges as well so I'm taking the time to post. This tree is from Hero Arts and it is a layered stamp set.  The sentiment is from Repeat Impressions.

Gingham Poppies

I stamped the Altenew poppy image with Tattered Rose and Shabby Shutters Distress inks and then water colored the poppies using the no line watercoloring technique.

Happy Easter

I've been wanting to play in a few challenges and never get around to them in time.  This week I actually made a card in time for two of them -  CASology and Freshly Made Sketches:

I used a PaperTrey set called Take Three: Spring and stamped the images in Spring Rain ink.  The sentiment is from the same set and is stamped with Kraft ink.  The white panel is matted with Kraft cardstock and attached to the card front.  I added a few blue rhinestones to finish it off.  I did move the sentiment a bit to the right from the sketch - I like it overlapping the images a bit.

Just a Little Note

This is for the Freshly Made Sketches 39:

I have been in Iowa and now Minnesota stamping with my Yahoo Stamping group friends.  This is our 6th year that we have gotten together to stamp, eat, laugh, have fun, shop, laugh, eat.... Anyway, I had created this tri-fold card while in Iowa, using a friend's embossing folder and left it blank to do something with it later.  Well I thought it was perfect for the FMS39.  I added the scallop and plain circles and the cut and embossed Spellbinders bird and branch that I found in my  friend Lynette's card parts box. The sentiment is from a Technique Tuesday stamp set.

Freshly Made Dynamic Duos

I created this card for two challenges:  Freshly Made Sketches #33:

And for a new challenge, Dynamic Duos #1 (Pool Party and Lucky Limeade):

I thought the Linen Closet papers from DCWV were perfect for the colors.  I substituted Aqua Mist and Spring Moss to stamp the Pretty Posies with.  I added Frosted Lace Stickles to the stamped flower to match the glittered paper.  The image was cut with a Blossom Nestability and I distressed the edges with the Aqua Mist.  I added three aqua pearls for embellishment.

SNSDC43 - Cats or Dogs

Yay it's Friday and that means a new challenge at the Sweet 'N Sassy Digi Challenge blog!  This week we want you to feature a dog or a cat on your card and it must be a digi image of course.  I used the Puppy image from SNSS.  I think he is so cute!  I printed him out and colored him with watercolor pencils and an aquabrush.  I cut him out and the mat with my Nestabilities.  The patterned paper is Mellow from Basic Grey and I used the FMS24 sketch for the layout.  Now it is your turn to play for a chance to win some digi stamps - see the SNSDC blog for the details and to see what the other DT members created.
