Birthday Wishes

I had a busy weekend but did find some time to play.  I made this card for a few challenges:  CAS(E) This Sketch:

CAS-ual Fridays:

 Dynamic Duos:

The circular frame is a Marianne Designs die and the bird is Memory Box Perching Reed die.  I cut the bird from some MME polka dotted paper.  The banner is PaperTrey's Double Ended Banner die and the sentiment is also from PaperTrey.  I added a pearl for the bird's eye and a few pink pearls to embellish.

Summer Camp Week 1 Day 4

Well I am finally catching up on my homework - and enjoying it immensely.  This is a case of Marion Vagg's card and was supposed to be done within 10 minutes.  I didn't time myself but I know it took me more than 10 minutes to complete this card.  The card base is Hawaiian Shores card stock.  The white panel is 3 3/4 in. x 5 1/2 in.  I die cut the Marianne Designs Fancy Flourish out of the white panel, colored the positive parts with Memento Pear Tart ink and then glued it back into place on the white panel.  I used the Memory Box Perching Reed Bird die cut and adhered it with a foam square and added a pearl for the eye.  The sentiment is from Avocado Arts.

ATCAS 16 - Take Flight

Welcome to ATCAS #16.  Our lovely hostess Karen chose the code word(s): Take Flight:

Our wonderful sponsor for the challenge is Delicious Doodles:

Please check out the ATCAS challenge blog for all the details for the challenge and to be eligible for the prize.

As soon as I saw the code word I thought of this lovely sentiment stamp from Layers of Color.  The butterfly dies are Memory Box and the leaves flourish is from Marianne Designs.

Round Cards

I made two round cards in the last two days - they seem to be everywhere in sketch challenges, etc.  This first one was created using the Sweet Stop Sketch 113:
I used Patriotic Cocoa from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps.
The second card I made was for the Tuesday Teapot Challenge and the SCS Color Challenge:
I used an MFT doily die to cut out the card.  The next layer was created with a Spellbinder Blossom Nestability.  The bird on the branch was created with a Marianne Designs die and is attached with dimensionals.
It was fun to make cards that were not the regular A2 size.
