Today I had a lot of fun - I went to breakfast with
Darnell and
Kim and then went back to Darnell's house to play with Darnell's toys. She showed me how to use the Fuse tool for making shaker cards. I used her kite dies from Paper Smooches to cut out the kite and then I ran the panel through the Big Shot using the Sizzix cloud embossing folder. I used a part of an Avery Elle plastic sleeve to create the shaker pouch. I didn't have time to finish making the shaker at Darnell's but I brought it home and broke out my Fuse tool. I think I put in too many star sequins because they don't really shake but that Fuse tool is really cool for making 4 compartments for the sequins - you can't see the fused line because it is behind the positive parts of the die cut kite. I cut two tails and glued them together for more dimension. The sentiment is from Winnie & Walter. I picked these colors because I made this card for the SCS color challenge today which is silver, gold and black.
I've tried making shaker cards with the foam tape, foam adhesives, etc and really had a lot of problems with that and acetate so I think I will stick with the pouches and Fuse tool.
Thanks for coming by!
