Gratitude

More homework from the Online Card Class - CAS3 day 1 which was Faux Effects.  This is a one layer card with faux embossing.  This is my second attempt.  The card base is Kraft which I think works much better with this technique than white card stock (see the second photo).  All the images were stamped with Colorbox White Pigment ink, then over stamped and slightly off set with Hero Arts Shadow Inks.

Here is the same card done on white card stock:

I think this technique on the white card stock gives a completely different look to the images.  The Kraft background gives a softer and dreamier look.

All images and paper are from PaperTrey.
Thanks for coming by!

  2. I really love both of them also. the white shadows on the craft cardstock does stand out, but I love the white one also. I like your placement of the flowers and leaves and love the colors you chose. thanks for sharing.

  3. Gorgeous Harriet. I agree that it makes more of an impact when on the kraft. Your card is just gorgeous!

  7. Harriet, you card looks very dimensional!
On the first view I thought you made die-cutting with two or three layers for the butterflies and the branch! But everything is flat!
    Great job!

  8. Beautiful! The Kraft pops more while the white has a softer look. Both are great.
