My second post for today....
Homework assignment number 2 for day 1 of the Online Card Class - CAS 3 - One Layered Cards. This card demonstrates the layered inlaid die cuts which create a completely flat card. I didn't realize when I started this that the music scale die would be so time consuming! I cut the music scale out of the new PTI Teal card stock, then cut it out of the white panel that you see on the card here. Then I placed the teal die cut into the negative space of the white panel. I then had to take the white pieces of die cut that remained in the die and adhered them back in place within the teal die cut! The word Dude is stamped on top of the conversation bubble and "rock" was also stamped directly onto the white card panel. "You" is a die cut from Simon Says Stamp and is inlaid into the conversation bubble. The guitar die cut (from PaperTrey) was stamped with chocolate chip ink before it was inlaid into the music scale. A LOT of work but was really fun - great challenge!
Thanks for coming by!
Great "Dude" card. Sounds like a lot of work for this one.
ReplyDeleteHarriet, this is just so much fun!!!
ReplyDeleteWait. What? There is chocolate chip ink??? Don't you find you have to replace it often?? In all seriousness, Harriet, this is sensational! It was definitely worth all the work!! Hugs, Darnell
