Merry Christmas
This card was created for the SCS CAS challenge to use words as focal point and no stamped images and for the Hope You Can Cling To challenge to create a card that does not require extra postage - or a flat card. The tree and sentiment are both dies and i Cut them out of gold glittery paper and out of PTI Vintage Cream paper. I did the inlay technique by adhering the gold die cuts to the cram card base.
I also will submit this to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge: CAS Christmas.

Bring on the Happy!
This card brought on the happy for me. It is a take 2 on the first card I made using the Watercolor + Die technique. You can see the first card here. For this card I remembered to do the wet on wet technique and when the Twinkling H2Os were dry I went back with just a clean wet brush and removed some of the ink to highlight the tops of the blue balloons. I think you can see the shimmer better on this card. I used the Whimsy Balloon Border die to emboss the watercolor paper. The sentiment is from Hero Arts and was inked with Versafine Onyx Black. I used a black marker for the string.

Congrats!
This was my first attempt at the Watercolor + Dies technique. I used the Whimsy Stamps Balloon Border die to emboss the image into the water color paper. I painted the balloons with Twinkling H2Os. I used a black marker for the string and stamped the Winnie & Walter sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black. When I was looking at the photos of this card I realized that you couldn't see any shimmer from the H2Os and I didn't really get any shading. I forgot to do the wet on wet technique so I made another card which I will post shortly.

Bring on the Happy
I took a break from class to make this card for the CASology Challenge: Cue Card - Metal.
I absolutely love this balloon die from Whimsy Stamps and I used it with gold metallic sparkly paper and then again with black paper to make a shadow. I used a sentiment form Hero Arts and finished it off with gold sequins. Can't get more metallic than that!

Bring on the Happy
When I was visiting my stamping friends in Omaha last week I got to play with a bunch of toys that I didn't have at home. One of those toys was this balloon die from Whimsy Stamps. I cut the border out 4 times, one with white cardstock, one in blue, red and yellow patterned papers. I then paper pieced the colored shapes onto the white border. I used a black marker to color the string. The sentiment is from a Hero Arts Archivers Exclusive sentiment set.
I like working with the balloon border die so much that I ordered one!

Flutter By Wednesday #116 - Maya Making Wishes by Whimsy Stamps
Welcome to FBW#116!! Today we are being sponsored by Whimsy Stamps and our challenge is to use our favorite color and of course to include a butterfly, fairy or an angel.
I chose to use Whimsy's digital image Maya Making Wishes for my card today. Isn't she cute??? I used CCEE1030 sketch for my layout. After printing out the image I cut it out with an oval nestability using the out of the box technique. I sponged SU! Lavender Lace while the image was still in the die. My favorite color (actually color combination) is purple (with green) - at least it is today!! LOL!! I used Copic markers and water color pencils and an aquabrush to color Maya in and used Copic At You Spica glitter pens to color in the wings. No matter how I tried I could not get the glitter to show up in a photo.
Now it's your turn to play! Create your new project using your favorite color and a butterfly, fairy or an angel and then link it directly to InLinkz on the Flutter By Wednesday blog. While you are there please check out what the other Flutterby's created!!
