Red Flower Throw Pillow

This was created for the SCS inspiration challenge.  I was inspired by the Red Flower Throw Pillow in this photo.  I used the Quarter Gerbera Daisy digi from Arielle's Wax Fruit company, printed it out and colored it with Copic markers.  I then brushed the center and some of the petals with my clear Wink of Stella glitter brush which shows up as the tiny white dots.

ATSM82 - Make Your Mark

I am submitting this to Addicted to Stamps and More (ATSM) challenge 82 which is to use your markers.  I wanted to use the colors from the SCS color challenge this week and only had the colors in markers so I painted this image with the markers and an aquabrush by scribbling the markers on an acrylic block and picking up the color with the brush.  I also used a marker to outline and highlight the flowers.
This is a digital image that I got from the Dover Free Samples that come out every Friday.

Purrfect Valentines Day

This was created for the SCS IC247 challenge - be inspired by the Bed, Bath and Beyond website and for the Less Is More challenge - one layer card and anything goes.
Here is my inspiration piece:  Cat Line Framed Drawing.  I printed the cat digi (source unknown) onto white cardstock and then stamped the sentiment which is from Simon Says Stamp.  I colored the hearts with a Real Red SU! marker and then used the Wink of Stella glitter marker over the red.

FBW235 - Open Challenge

I used a digi from Beccy's Place blog called Silhouette found here.  I resized it to fit on the front of an A2 card and printed it directly to the card stock.  I masked off from the edges around the image to the edges of the card front and then sponged on Distress Inks.  I then used a Martha Stewart punch that has 3 butterflies and punched them out of black cardstock and adhered them to the image.  I love how the color and the black pop against the white card stock!

I used Thinking of You digi stamp, resized it and printed it right onto my card front to make a one layer card.  I then water colored the flower with Distress markers and a water brush.  I colored the butterfly with Spica glitter pens.

A Lot of Cats!

I created this quick and easy one layer card for the SCS QFTD139 and the IC363.  This is a case of Gabby's Fat Cats Unite card and my inspiration piece was the Cat Dish Towel from the Fishs Eddy site.  I used a freebie digi called A Lot of Cats - I don't remember where I got it.  This makes a great set of note cards for a cat lover!!

Frosty Winter Kisses

Welcome to Flutter By Wednesday # 205.  This week's challenge is to create a card or project using your favorite color - and to include a butterfly or fairy of course.  This week we are also being sponsored by Paper Makeup Stamps so there is a chance to win a $15 gift certificate to their store!  For all of the challenge information please go to the Flutter By Wednesday blog and while you are there don't forget to check out all of the wonderful projects my FBW teammates created!!
I chose to use PMS Hayden Fairy for my card and my favorite winter color right now is purple so I colored her with shades of purple colored pencils (blended with baby oil and blending stumps) and Spica Glitter pens.  I used a Snowflake Cuttlebug embossing folder to "frame" Hayden and matted that panel with some purple cardstock.  The sentiment comes with the digital image and I cut it out with the PaperTrey Double Ended Banner die and adhered it with a foam square.  I finished off the image by applying Stickles Frosted Lace to the wings.

Poppies for BeckyTE

This is another card for the SCS color challenge and also for the QFTD115 challenge - to CASE a card from BeckyTE's gallery.  This is a digi image from Wax Fruit Co and is called A Study of Poppies.  It is printed on GinaK Luxury paper and colored with Copic Markers.  This cardstock doesn't let the Copics bleed through so it is perfect for a one layer card.

SNSDC51 - Quote Inspiration

It's Friday so time for a new challenge at the Sweet 'N Sassy Digi Challenge blog.  This week the challenge is to create a card based upon this quote:  " Sweet April showers do spring May flowers" -Thomas Tusser.  I chose to use the first SNSS digi I purchased - Bluebird Digi Stamp.  I water colored the image with Memento Markers and an aquabrush, and cut it out with my Lacy Square Nestabilities.  The patterned paper is from DCWV Mariposa stack.  So now it is your turn to create a card based on this quote.  Remember to only use digi stamps - they do not have to be SNSS digis but if you do use them you will be entered twice for a chance to win some free digis.  See the SNSDC blog for all of the details and don't forget to check out what the rest of the team created!

SNSDC47 - Joy Fold Card

Well I am finally back into making cards since my hip replacement!  Yay! I was afraid I would never make a card again - how weird is that??  I am feeling pretty well and will be starting PT next week but until then I am walking around with a cane (graduated from that irritating walker) and going up and down stairs like an adult now! 
Oh, back to the reason why you might be here - to see a card for the Sweet 'N Sassy Digi Challenge.  This week the challenge is to make a Joy Fold Card (instructions can be found here).  This is my first Joy Fold card and I really liked making it.  Now that I know where all the pieces go I may step up the design a bit on the next one.  I would also make the digi image, the Bluebird Digital Stamp, a bit larger.  That is a great feature of using digis.  The other great feature that I used on this digi was to be able to flip the digi horizontally so it was facing the left instead of the right.  I wanted the bird to be facing the way the card opens.  I used a lovely K&Co dimensional sticker at the bottom left to keep the card closed.  It is only sticky on the very left of the sticker.

Quarter Gerber Daisy

I created this for the SCS color challenge - Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade and Pool Party.  I bought the Gerber Daisy bundle from Wax Fruit Co digi stamps and I used the Quarter Gerber Daisy on this card.  I imported the image 4 times and flipped them to form one flower - I like the separate squares look.  I printed the final image onto GinaK Pure Luxury card stock and colored it in with Copic Markers.

SNSDC44 - Color Challenge

It's Friday (yay!) which means a new challenge at Sweet 'N Sassy Digi Challenge blog!  This week's challenge is a color challenge: blue, yellow and brown.  I printed out the Birds and Roses digi, colored it with Copic Markers and cut it out with a Circle Nestability.  I used the SCS sketch challenge from this week for my layout.  The card base is embossed with the Tim Holtz tree trunk embossing folder.  I used the brown wood patterned paper from MME pad for the perpendicular panels.

SNSDC43 - Cats or Dogs

Yay it's Friday and that means a new challenge at the Sweet 'N Sassy Digi Challenge blog!  This week we want you to feature a dog or a cat on your card and it must be a digi image of course.  I used the Puppy image from SNSS.  I think he is so cute!  I printed him out and colored him with watercolor pencils and an aquabrush.  I cut him out and the mat with my Nestabilities.  The patterned paper is Mellow from Basic Grey and I used the FMS24 sketch for the layout.  Now it is your turn to play for a chance to win some digi stamps - see the SNSDC blog for the details and to see what the other DT members created.

SNSDC42 - Tent Card

Yay it is Friday which means it is time for a new Sweet N Sassy Digi Challenge.  This week the challenge is to make a tent card using digi images only.  You do not have to use SNSS digis but we love to see them when you do!  I used the Bluebird digital stamp and cut it out after printing it onto card stock.  I colored it in with Copic markers.  I followed the directions to make the tent card and adhered the bluebird image to the front with foam squares.  I used SNSS cloud dies and created felt clouds that I adhered to the back of the circle frame.   Sorry for the shadows on the inside - I took the photo outside and the clouds I made created clouds inside the card!!

SNSDC41 - Inspiration Photo

Welcome to the SNSDC41 for this week.  We have an inspiration photo - don't those chocolates look yummy???  I used Cocoa's Chocolates digi stamp for my card and I was inspired by the colors so I used dark brown and pink.  I cut Cocoa out with a scalloped circle Nestability and attached it with foam squares over MME Lost and Found papers.
