Happy 5th Birthday Sweet 'N Sassy!!

Welcome to the Friends of SNSS blog hop, celebrating Sweet 'N Sassy's 5th birthday!  I am glad you could join in the fun with us today.  I have been a long time customer of SNSS and was on the design team last April through November and on the Digi Blog Challenge team from last November through May of this year.  My first love was Cocoa but last summer I fell in love with Rhubarb too!!  So I am celebrating with both a Cocoa card and a Rhubarb card!
But first I want to give you information about the prizes!

• There are 4 blog hop participants from which Korin will randomly pick a winner to receive a $15 store credit.

My first card was created using Cup of Cocoa:

I stamped the image with Memento ink and colored it with Copic markers.  I used Stickles Frosted Lace on the snowflakes.

And here is my Rhubarb card just in time for the holidays:

I used Rhubarb's Candy Cane digi stamp.  I printed him out and colored him in with Copics and cut him out with my Spellbinders oval Nestabilities and my Lacy Scallop Oval Die-namics.

PaperTrey May Blog Hop

This is for the May PTI Blog Hop.  My card was inspired by the different shades of green and the squares in the photo below.  Also, I like how the right side of the photo is cut off, so I used that feature as part of the design.   I saw this design on Pinterest so I cannot take credit for it.

I used an image from Take Three: Spring and the Take Three Die to create my squares.  I used my Corner Chomper to round the opposite corners.  The sentiment is from Birthday Basics.

I used the Butterfly with Flower digi for my card.  I distressed the Memory Box patterned paper with PaperTrey Tea Dye Stain.

I used the bear from this new set North American Woods and the sketch is from CPS.  The inside says "I forgot" also from this set.  The patterned papers are from Basic Grey Capella and the card stock is from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co.  I inked the Tim Holtz Wood Grain embossing folder with Chocolate Chip ink and embossed white card stock to create the background panel.  Don't forget to leave a comment before you hop off to the next blog!

 I love this quote from Eleanor Roosevelt that is included in the Relax a Bit set.  I stamped the quote with Versafine Onyx Black.  I stamped the tea bag with Distress Tea Dye ink onto the sentiment panel and then again on scrap paper and cut it out.  It is popped up on a foam square for some dimension.

 This is another card from the Relax a Bit set.  I paper pieced the tea kettle with papers from MME.  The roses are colored with Copic markers.

SNSDC37 and SNSS January Digi Release Blog Hop

Yay it's Friday and that means a new SNS Digi Challenge - but there's even more excitement today!  Today the digi team and Korin (SNS owner) are having a blog hop to celebrate the release of the newest SNSS digis.

Another way to win some digi stamps is to join in on our regular Friday digi challenge.  This week the challenge is to create an easel card, using digital stamps only.  You don't have to use SNSS digis but we love it when you do!  Link your easel card directly to InLinkz on the SNS Digi Challenge Blog to enter.

I used the PBandJ image and the You and Me sentiment from the You and Me digital set and luckily found papers with just the right colors - peanut butter and jelly colors of course!!  The image and sentiment were printed onto cream card stock and cut out with a Nestability.  I colored the image with water color pencils and an aquabrush.  I made the easel card following the instructions on SCS and decorated it with Black Market patterned papers.  I printed out a second image, colored the sandwich and cut it out to provide a "stopper" for the easel card.  It is attached with a foam square.

 I stamped the black eyed Susan heart wreath with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with Copic markers.  I cut it out with a Nestability.  I curved the sentiment on my acrylic block so I could stamp it along the circle.  The patterned paper is from memory Box.

I really love this ribbon that I got at MFP, a Heinrich Co. so I chose to use the rose bud postage stamp image from Sending Happy Thoughts for my sample today.  I stamped the image with Memento ink and colored it with Copic Markers.  I cut it out and layered it with Nestabilities and attached it with foam squares to the embossed and scored layer on top of the card base.  All papers are from MFP, a Heinrich Co.

This may be my favorite set for this month's release!  Today I have a card using the "accessories" images.  I stamped the sign onto patterned paper, the boots and hat onto scrap white paper, colored them in and cut them out.  I stamped the sign onto the "wall", embossed the cardstock to look like paneling and attached the paper pieced sign with foam squares.  The boots and hat are also attached with foan squares.  Patterned paper is from Crate Paper, all other card stock is from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co.

I used the Silhouette-ButterflyFlowers digi from Bugaboo for my card.  I printed it onto GinaK Premium Luxury cardstock and colored the background with Copic Markers.  I used some orange rhinestones to embellish the flowers and the butterfly.  I cut it out with a Nestability and mounted that on a card that was cut out with a Lacy Circle Nestability!

Crazy 4 Cocoa Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Crazy 4 Cocoa blog hop!  We all adore Cocoa and thought it would be fun to showcase him all month long.  Today, as part of the fun, the Sweet 'n Sassy Design Divas have joined together with a few of the talented Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge ladies to bring a great Cocoa Mouse blog hop to you!  Make sure you've got your warm drink and some chocolate...let's get ready to hop! 

I used Cocoa's Christmas clear set for my card today.  This is also a preview of the Clean and Simple Stamping blog's  FTL#171 sketch.  I stamped the image with Memento ink and colored it with Copic markers and Spica glitter pen.  I fussy cut the image out and mounted it on foam squares.  I finished it off with different colored rhinestones for the ornaments.

What a Fox

I used an image from What a Fox set and the sentiment is from Peaceful Nuthatch.  After stamping the image I masked the top and bottom of the image with Post-It notes and sponged in the colors.  I then colored the fox with watercolor pencils and an aquabrush.  After removing the masks I stamped the sentiment.
