DTGD13 Sending Birthday Wishes

I created this for one of the SCS Dare To Get Dirty (DTGD) challenges.  I also created this for the Play Date Cafe Challenge:

The paper I used for the kite is as neon as I have - it is brighter in real life than in this photo!

I am also submitting this to Seize The Birthday - Anything Goes.

Another Try at PDC and LIM

I wasn't satisfied with my first attempt at the Play Date Cafe and the Less Is More (HEXAGONS) challenges and I saw a card on Pinterest that I wanted to case.  I am much happier with this card!
I used my PaperTrey Hexagon die to cut out the black hexagons.  I stamped a Hero Arts butterfly onto "nectarine" colored patterned paper with Versafine Onyx Black ink and cut it our with the companion Sizzix die.  I embellished with a few pearls.  Patterned papers are from MME and the card base is Bazzill textured card stock.
Thanks or coming by!

Hello

The Sketch Saturday challenge and the Less Is More challenge (theme is HEXAGONS) worked really well together:
I used the colors from the Play Date Cafe:

though my "nectarine" looks more orange than in this picture.

I used my Happy Hexagons stamp set from PaperTrey and stamped the images directly on to the card front for a one layer card.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.  I sprinkled a few sequins on to finish it off.

SCS VSN Weekend

This weekend is Virtual Stamp Night (VSN)at SCS.  There are challenges posted every hour starting Friday afternoon through Saturday night.  You need to create your card according to the challenge criteria within 45 minutes.  If I keep then CAS I have a chance to meet the 45 minutes!  Since I had the colors already out while I was making my last card I used them for this card.  For this challenge we were supposed to case a card from luvlee's gallery.  I cased Sending Caring Thoughts.
Since I used the Play Date Cafe colors again I am submitting this to that challenge:

I also used a banner for my image so I am submitting this to the Cas-ual Friday Challenge:

I stamped the Flourishes image on PaperTrey white card stock and watercolored the flowers with SU! Taken With Teal and Marvelous Magenta ink and a water brush.  The card front was embossed with a Cuttlebug Embossing folder so the banner would stand out.

Hello!

I loved the colors for the Play Date Cafe this week:

and I used Wanna Sketch #5 from Dahlhouse Designs:

I love this sketch and it had a banner deigned in so I thought it would be perfect for this week's Cas-ual Fridays challenge to use banners or flags:

I used my SU! Taken With Teal marker and colored the gingham square pattern from PaperTrey and stamped it on to the card front.  I used PaperTrey's double ended banner die on gray card stock and stamped the sentiment from MME in Hero Arts Charcoal Shadow Ink.  The daisies were cut with a Simon Says Stamp die out of magenta paper from my stash.

Birthday Wishes

I am finally getting some time to work on my Online Card Class assignments.  I am taking the His and Hers class.  I used the Freshly Made Sketch from this week and the colors from The Play Date Cafe:

This is the Hers' version.  I covered the card front with patterned paper from MME.  The rest of the paper is from paperTrey as well as the Birthday die cut and "wishes" sentiment.
I'm off to create the His version!  Thanks for coming by!

FBW237 A Sketch

Welcome to Flutter By Wednesday 237.  This week our Flutter By Kathy created a sketch for us:
Just remember to use a butterfly or a fairy with the sketch!  Then link it up directly to InLinkz on the Flutter By Wednesday blog!  While you are there check out what the rest of the team created using this sketch.
I used the colors from the Play Date Cafe:

These papers from MME were perfect for the colors in the challenge.  I stamped the round butterfly image from Just Rite Stamps with Raspberry Fizz and cut it out with Nestabilities.

Another PDC Card

While I had the markers out from the last card I decided to make one more card with these colors.  I really like this combination and never would have come up with this on my own.  This time I used two images from the Unity set.  The set is four poppy images from Donna Downey.  I think these are gorgeous!  I randomly stamped the solid image on a half sheet of card stock.  Then I randomly stamped the line art image onto that same sheet.  I cut it into four equal pieces to make a set of note cards.  The image panels are adhered with foam tape.
Here is the Play Date Cafe challenge:

HELLO!

I wanted to play in some of the past week's challenges in blogland - there are so many good ones out there - so many that I get overwhelmed and usually end up not playing in any!  This card is a product of CAS(E) This Sketch:

and the Play Date Cafe:

I used Memento and SU! markers and a Crafter's Companion template to make the lines.  I stamped the arrows and sentiment in Memento Gray Flannel ink.  The sentiment is from MFT and the arrows are from The Craft's Meow.
