FTL70 Happy Birthday

A friend asked me to make some BD cards with cats on them so I used the FTL70 from the Clean and Simple Stamping blog. I love this layout - I think it is very versatile! This card is pretty straightforward so I'll just list the supplies.

Joyful Makeover

This week's SCS CAS43 challenge is to do a make over of any card in our gallery. I decided to make over the card I did for this week's FS challenge - Get Punchy for Mrs Boz and make it a Christmas card. I kept the layout the same and changed the colors, embossed background, sentiment and punched image. I really like this layout!

Get Punchy For Mrs Boz

This card was made for the SCS Featured Stamper (FS) and for the Crazy for Challenges C4C13 - to use punches. This week's FS is Mrs Boz (CarrollAnne). She has a beautiful gallery and I didn't get past the first page before finding several cards to case. I settled on her Girlie Card. I kept the layout the same as well as the embossed background and colors. I used an EK Success branch punch and a MS butterfly punch. The sentiment is from Verve. I added pink half back pearls to the white Primas and white pearls to the butterfly.

Swoosh of Butterflies

Welcome to another Flutter By Wednesday - geez the days seem to be swooshing by like my butterflies!! Today's challenge is to incorporate circles into our design along with a butterfly, fairy or angel. If you decide to play along, please link your creation to Mr Linky on Danni's blog.
The SCS SC256 was perfect for this FBW challenge. As soon as I saw the swoosh part (the middle curvy panel) I thought of this Inkadinkado butterfly image that I love. I brayered PaperTrey cardstock with Adirondack Sunshine Yellow, Sunset Orange and PaperTrey Summer Sunrise inks. I then stamped the butterfly image using Versafine Onyx Black. I free hand cut out the swoosh panel and attached it to the embossed card front with SU! Dimensionals. I cut the black circles with a circle Nestability and mounted the MS punched butterflies on them with Dimensionals. The black rhinestones are Amuse Micro Twinklers.

SCS Color Challenge Cards

Today I have two cards to share. They were made for the SCS color challenge - Bermuda Bay, Pretty in Pink and Olive Green. The first card I made is a CAS card using inchies.

The second card was made using Taylor's Sketch TESC92. I just love the new MFT Pure Innocence stamps and finally got to ink one up! The little girl's face in the photo is blotchy but it doesn't look that way on the card. Her clothes were paper pieced and all the panels are on SU! Dimensionals.

Thinking of You (CAS42)

The SCS CAS42 challenge is using the sponging technique. I like using this technique along with the reverse masking technique. I used the negative oval from my Oval Nestabilities which is in the middle of an A2 size card front to cover the card. I sponged blue, green and some brown in the oval. I removed the mask and stamped the cattails and dragonfly from PaperTrey's Pond Life. I used a white gel pen to create some highlights. Then I go and mess it up by stamping the sentiment crookedly!! So that is why there are flowers at the bottom of the oval. The second try was much better! This is a very quick and easy card to make.

Supplies: Stamps - PaperTrey Pond Life; Ink - Adirondak, SU! Chocolate Chip; Paper - PaerTrey Stampers Select; Misc - Sponge, Oval Nestability and mask, Petaloo flowers, White gel pen

FS146 Birgit the Artist

OMG this week's Featured Stamper (FS) on SCS is Biggan (Birgit). She is a true artist - check out her gallery here. I really needed to search through it to find a card that I thought I could do some justice to! She is a master of texture and dimension and still keeps to a clean and simple style!! I picked out a few cards and settled on this one. My card is 4.25" square and I used some of my Heart Nestabilities. I put SU! Dimensionals between each heart layer and some patterned paper under the smallest heart layer.

Supplies: Paper - Bazzill, patterned paper from Archivers; Misc - Heart Nestabilities, Pearls, SU! Dimensionals

FBW in Black and White

Nothing like doing things at the last minute!! Today is Flutter By Wednesday and I didn't have a card ready last night like I usually do. Luckily there were other challenges that I needed to get done so I had a lot of help in designing this card. I used the SCS sketch for today and I am in a color swap this month which is black and white. The only other requirement was FBW - to use a butterfly, fairy or an angel on the card. This card looks a lot better IRL - I couldn't get a good photo that shows all the texture here. Anyway, today the FBW team welcomes 3 new DT members: Pam, Kris and Karen! Welcome flutterbies!! You can see their creation along with the rest of the team's by clicking onthe link's on Danni's sidebar here. And if you play along, please link up your card to Mr Linky on Danni's blog!!

My card is pretty straight forward - I just followed SC255. I used a CB Tapestry embossing folder and a border embossing folder and my Scor-bug along the horizontal panel.

Thanks for coming by!

Supplies: Stamps - Inkadinkado; Ink - Versafine Onyx Black; Paper - PaperTrey; Misc - Cuttlebug embossing folders, PaperTrey Ribbon and Vintage Button, Scor-bug, SU! Dimensionals

FS Card

I've been so busy making holiday cards to sell next weekend that I guess I forgot to upload the card I made for this week's Featured Stamper (FS) on SCS - Christine (chrisations.ink). I loved the color combination of Christine's card Wishes for Betty.
So I used SU! Brilliant Blue, Pumpkin Pie and Garden Green markers on my stamps from PaperTrey Life and Verve Abundant Blessings on my card, omitted the layers and added a Paper Blooms crocheted butterfly. I really like how this came out.

Supplies: Stamps - PaperTrey Life, Verve Abundant Blessings; Paper - PaperTrey Stampers Select, DCWV, Misc - SU! Markers, Paper Blooms crocheted butterfly, SU! Dimensionals

I used this week's sketch from SCS - SC254 - to create this card. The image is from paperTrey's Autumn Abudance. I colored it with Koh-i-noor pencils and Baby Oil and took the colors from the Daisy D papers I used. The butterfly is a MS punch and I added some half back pearls.

F is For Flutter By Wednesday (and Fairy)

I made this card for Flutter By Wednesday and for an alphabet swap that I am in with my Yahoo group. We are on letter F - so this was perfect for both challenges. This week for FBW we have an open week - just use a butterfly or fairy (or both in my case) on your card. If you play along, please link your card to Mr Linky on Dannis' blog. While you're there don't forget to check out the other FBW DT members to see what they have created!

I was inspired to use this Basic Grey Urban Prairie paper and sketch from this card by Rachel Hope (SCS featured stamper a few weeks ago). This image is from a set of clear Tinker Bell Disney stamps. I colored her with Marvy Uchida Twinklers (like Copic Spicas) but you can't see the sparkle in this photo. The butterfly is from Paper Blooms Etsy store.

FS and 2 More Holiday Cards!

I decided that I will make a Christmas card for every challenge I do on SCS to build up my stash! Today's Featured Stamper (FS) on SCS was Miss Boo (Jen) of CAS challenge fame! I was inspired to make two cards for the challenge.

The first card was a case of Jen's Garden Buggy card. I used PaperTrey's Holiday Button Bits and stamped the Gingerbread man in SU! Chocolate Chip on Vintage Cream cardstock. I used my Nestabilities to cut out the image and the two mats. The buttons are from PaperTrey as well as the twine. The ribbons are from American Crafts (plaid) and Making Memories (red). I used an EK Success Border punch on the bottom strip.

This second card was a case of Jen's Have a Terrific Day. I used my Spellbinders Labels 1 die since I don't have the Top Note die that Jen used which needed a square card. I used Daisy D's patterned paper (which unfortunately is discontinued), ran some Vintage Cream cardstock through with a Christmas embossing folder which was also cut with the Labels 1 die. I added a red velvet ribbon and a poinsettia from Making Memories. The sentiment is from PaperTrey.

Chocolate Chip; Paper - PaperTrey; Misc - Buttons, Twine, Nestabilities, EK Success border punch, American Craft & Making Memories ribbons, SU! Dimensionals Card#2 - Stamps - PaperTrey; Ink - SU! Real Red; Paper - PaperTrey Vintage Cream, Daisy D's; Misc - Spellbinders Labels 1, Velvet ribbon, Making Memories poinsettia and brad, Cuttlebug Christmas embossing folder.
