ATCAS 45 Geometric

Geometry - the branch of mathematics concerned with the properties and relations of points, lines, surfaces, solids, and higher dimensional analogs.

Geometric - 1. of or relating to geometry, or according to its methods. 2. (of a design) characterized by or decorated with regular lines and shapes.

I am so excited to host the ATCAS 45 challenge.  I picked GEOMETRIC as our code word.  Check out the definition above and check out the DT's samples, including our very talented guest designer Lyndal's sample on the Addicted To CAS challenge blog.  For further inspiration click on the link below for graphic images:

Google search for images click here.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Scribble Designs:

Here is another shot of the card - you can see the Wink of Stella sparkle on the fish and sentiment better than in the first photo:

When I chose the code word I had these fish from Altenew in mind.  I love the shapes in the Ori Kami set.  I watercolored the fish with the wet on wet technique, cut them out and adhered them to the watercolored panel with foam squares.  The bubbles and sentiment both from Winnie & Walter were stamped with Hero Arts Charcoal shadow ink.  I embellished a few bubbles with sequins.

I used the colors from this week's Color Throw Down and I will submit this to that challenge:

Imagine

This is the card I created for the SCS sketch challenge - SC384 - using the colors from this week's Color Throw Down - CTD191:
I sponged on a little of each of these colors then stamped the silhouette image with Versafine Onyx Black.  The corners were cut with a Cuttlebug Decorative Corner die and then the image panel was matted on black card stock.  The white panels were embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder.  I added turquoise rhinestones to the corners for a little bit of bling.

Two Quick Challenge Cards

I made two quick CAS cards tonight for some challenges. This first one is for the QFTD67 this week on SCS - case a card from Nancy's (nwilliams6) gallery.

This is what I came up with.  I let the DCWV Mariposa paper do all the work as Nancy did in hers.  I just stamped the sentiment and mounted the dp onto Kraft card stock.
The second card is for three challenges:  Susan (LateBlossom's) One Layer Wednesday#60, The Color Throwdown #148 and for last week's QFTD66 case a card from Marie's (momof5sons) gallery.

Happy Moments with Repeat Impressions Stamps

I used some of my new Repeat Impressions stamps to make this triple challenge card.  This is Mercy's sketch MTSC70, the colors are for the Color Throw Down CTD89, and SCS WT267 - use a mix of patterned papers.  The Basic Grey Wisteria papers were perfect for the color throw down challenge and this sketch was easy and came together quite quickly (I am a very slow cardmaker!!).
