Thanks!

I combined two challenges to create this card:

Colour Q Challenge #354:

Happy Little Stampers August Anything Goes with Dies:

When I saw the sketch I thought of my new to me border die from Penny Black so this came together easily. I love the color combination of this week's ColourQ Challenge. I used the Thanks die from Winnie & Walter for the sentiment.

Being Kind is Classy

I absolutely love this flower by Concord & 9th! When I saw the colors for the Colour Q Challenge I knew exactly which flower I'd use. I stamped the flower with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. I then watercolored it with Abandoned Coral distress ink and a paint brush (wet on wet technique). The sentiment is from another Concord & 9th set. I used a strip of DCWV gold foil cardstock for an accent.
I am submitting this to the ATCAS Challenge,  ColourQ Challenge and to Simon Says Stamp.

Another Post! Another Anniversary Card!

I don't really make resolutions for the new year but I have decided that I would try to make multiples of a card - so here is another anniversary card using the same materials but different colors. This time I am using the colors from the Colour Q challenge:

I think I am getting this in just under the wire. I really like these colors together.

This time I embossed the MFT roses background with gold embossing powder and then did a wash with Distress ink, water and a paint brush since I don't have Coastal Cabana. I embossed the "anniversary" on vellum and added the Winnie & Walter Cutaway "happy" die cut over the vellum.

I am also submitting this to the Freshly Made Sketch Challenge:

Happy Birthday

I created this card for the SCS CAS339 challenge - create a tag or use a tag on a card, the SCS TLC challenge to use a digital stamp and for the ColourQ challenge which I am getting in right under the deadline.  After printing the Power Poppy image I cut a portion out with a Paper Smooches tag die and colored that piece in with Copic markers.  I then replaced the die cut back in.

Congrats

This is for the OCC - Watercoloring for Cardmakers Bonus Day homework and also for the ColourQ Challenge:

I love the colors of these tennis shoes!  The background of the top panel was using Laura's technique with scoring and smooshing around different Distress Inks with the watercolor paper.  The sentiment is a cut file from Winnie and Walter The Big, The Bold and You set.

Pretty Peonies

These cards were made for some challenges on SCS and in blogland.  I am submitting the first card to the Seize the Birthday challenge and The Card Concept 6.  This card was created in my "usual" style, Clean and Simple.

The second card will be submitted to the Colour Q.

I hadn't used this Pretty Peonies set from PaperTrey and I don't know what I was waiting for - I absolutely love it!

Color Blocked Daisies

This was created for the SCS CAS challenge - color blocking with a twist - add a die cut.  I used the Simon Says Stamp Graduated Blocks stencil and the colors from this past week's ColourQ challenge.  I blended the Hero Arts inks with a blending tool.  I used the Fresh Daisies die from Simon Says Stamp in gray cardstock for the die cut and finished it off with a few enamel dots.

I am submitting this to Moxie Fab World - Stencils.

Hello

This was an attempt at a technique that we learned in the CAS 3 - One layer card class, Day 11.  I think I inked a distressed stripe background stamp from Rubbernecker Stamps with Colorbox White Pigment Ink and heat set the ink.  Then I overstamped the "hello" sentiment with Hero Arts Shadow Ink.  You're supposed to see the background come through the overstamping.  On my card you can barely see the stripes where I didn't overstamp.  So I guess I needed to use a larger solid stamp to over stamp the background.
I used the colors from this week's ColourQ challenge and am also participating in the Muse Challenge.
ETA: I am submitting this to the Moxie Fab World Hip on Handwriting challenge.

I used the colors from the ColourQ191 (CQC191) to color in the circles on my card:

I stamped the circle border image and sentiment from PaperTrey's Shapes By Design with Hero Arts Charcoal Shadow Ink and then used the solid circle image to color in the circles with Distress Inks and shadow inks.

FTL234 Happy Birthday

I used the FTL 234 sketch from the Clean and Simple Stamping blog and the colors from the CQC182 to create this card:
The iris was created with a Kitchen Sink Stamp 4 step stamping set and the sentiment and buttrfly are from PaperTrey.   All papers and the ribbon are from PaperTrey as well.  I think the card looks much better in real life!

If Friends Were Flowers....

...I'd pick you!!

Welcome to FBW#202 which is a themed challenge sponsored by The Saturated Canary!.  The theme of this challenge is Friendship.  So join us with a friendship themed project which includes a butterfly or a fairy and link it up to Mr Linky on the Flutter By Wednesday blog for a chance to win some digi stamps from the Saturated Canary!
I used the digi Springtime and colored her in with colored pencils.  I added two punched butterflies to the scene.  Inside is stamped the sentiment "If friends were flowers, I'd choose you!"  I used the sketch from the PPA141 challenge:
The colors are from the CQC150:
