STAMPlorations CAS Card Challenge - Mid Month Reminder

It is halfway through the month of October and time for a reminder of the STAMPlorations CAS Card Challenge - Anything Goes with an option to use ORANGE.

I used one of my favorite ARTplorations stencils: Happy Flowers and did some reverse image stamping with Distress Inks. So the negative (solid part of stencil) part is the inked part of the image on the card.

The sentiment is from Winnie and Walter.

Grateful for You

I am grateful that I had a little time to stamp today! There are so many challenges out there in blogland and I created this card for a few of them:

Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

Just Us Girls - Leaves

Addicted to CAS - Watercolor

One Layer Simplicity Challenge - Fall colors (yellow, orange, red)

Virginia's View Challenge - Focal Point

CAS Watercolor Challenge - Autumn

I used the Simon Says Stamp / Altenew Be-Leaf Me stamp set and distress inks to create this card. This is a layered stamp set and so easy and fun to use! I spritzed the stamp after inking to create the watercolor on the leaves. I finished it off with a few sequins.

SYD Online Card Class - Day 2 Homework 2

This card looks much better in real life than it does here:

I watercolored the background with Distress Inks, then sprayed a Hero Arts Gold Shimmer mist over the card when it was dry.  The die cut is Memory Box's Florina Corner. I adhered the die cut with Multi Matte Medium and matted the left and bottom of the panel with black card stock.  That was adhered to a white card.  I embellished with a few micro sized rhinestones.

ATCAS #58 - Distress

Wow we had great entries for our last ATCAS challenge - thanks so much for playing! This challenge is brought to you by our fabulous team leader and owner of the ATCAS challenge, Kylie!  Kylie has chosen the code word: DISTRESS

Our wonderful sponsor for this challenge is Uniko Studio:

Please go to the ATCAS Challenge Blog for information on the prize details and to see all of the inspiration from the design team and our guest designer Ellen.

I used Distress inks and an ink blending tool and blended the inks onto white card stock.  I sprayed a flower petal die cut with water and put it onto the inked panel which removes some of the ink and leaves a "ghost" image. I then cut out a white panel with Simon Says Stamp (SSS) stitched rectangle die and then a circle with a SSS stitched circle die.  After adhering the inked panel onto the card front I adhered the white panel with foam tape over the inked panel.  I then placed the Memory Box die cut flowers over the aperture.  The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti.

Distressed Snowflakes

I wanted to get this card into Virginia's View Challenge before it closed.  I also wanted to enter this into the CASology challenge - cue word is SNOW.

I clear embossed this snowflake flourish by Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps and then blended a few colors of Distress Inks with an ink blending tool.  This is one of my favorite techniques.

Congrats

Today is Day 1 of the Online Card Class - Watercoloring.  This card was created using the technique that Laura Bassen showed us.  Use an acrylic block and ink up the top part of the block with Distress inks and then mist it with water.  Then stamp the block onto water color paper.  Let it dry, then repeat using different color Distress inks.  Then the last step is to splatter water drops onto the dried inks.  I used the cut file from Winnie and Walter and adhered the sentiment with foam tape.  I added sequins to embellish.  The panel is adhered to the card base with foam tape.

I will be submitting this to Moxie Fab World challenge: Hip on Handwriting.

ATCAS #23 - AUTUMN

Time is just flying by - we have a new Addicted To CAS challenge - hosted by the fabulous Sylvia!  Sylvia chose the code word - AUTUMN:

And our sponsor for this challenge is The Paper Nest Dolls:

This first card is actually a case of my own card that I made a while ago.  I stamped the flower from PaperTrey's Friends Til The End set in Memento Rich Cocoa and colored it in with Copic markers. The bee is from the PaperTrey set Baby Button Bits.  I used a leaf button for the body and colored the wings with Frosted Lace Stickles.

This second card was made for additional challenges:
Cas-ual Fridays
ColourQ
CASology
